  1. Yeah, that would make sensi
  2. Hammond and Moussa would likely have scored very well. But if you follow women's football, they will always be the most obscure. The last tile was Lcfc/West Ham, so Pegguy would not score points.
  3. Nice shout! And yes, that is poor. I had Joe Dodoo and Sebastien Dewaest not recognised. Both Dewaest and Brevett made their apps while on loan, maybe that's the reason they were not recognised. Not sure why Dodoo wasn't recognised, he even appeared for us in the PL and Wiki confirms he was eligible for and even trained with the Ghana NT: "For club and nationality: player must have played at least one game (in one of the competitions above) for the club and have nationality with the country or continent. If the player has dual-nationality, they will match for both countries unless they have appeared in a senior national team competition covered on FBref. "
  4. Yeah, I meant the nexr four weeks, not just January. We'll get to see how well we cope with our absentees as well as all opposition now knowing much more about us and how to stifle us (think i.e. of the second half of our PL winning campaign).
  5. Also remember King and Yakubu shining under him, as well as Bamba being an - exciting - centerhalf 😅
  6. I can absolutely see this month being the most testing yet. I don't think we will let up until promotion is confirmed, but we might get complacent after that and miss out on records.
  7. A Leicester one today Disappointed that my choices for Leicester/Ghanaian and Ligue 1/Belgian were not recognised. According to stats and definitions they should have been.
  8. Great stuff! We may even get Thomas back this month meaning the number could even go up to nine.
  9. Way too many (recent) politicians on that list. Germans don't lose love for a person just because they're tainted or shrouded in ignominy.
  10. This only really counts for players who are used to playing with VAR, i.e. PL players. Lot less of it at lower levels.
  11. just about covers Vardy's weekly wage
  12. Surely this deserves it's own thread. Routinely regarded as one of the greats alongside Pele, Maradona, Müller, Eusebio etc. Sad news and pretty young as well at 78. RIP
  13. This is the case in virtually every sport as well. So it obviously irks some men more when it's football than e.g. figure skating or equestrian.
  14. On the flipside, the people that are racist, bigots etc. are mostly the ones getting offended here because they're ignorant and don't even perceive or want to admit their own flaws.
  15. He's of a pretty high calibre alright and knows how to take a great shot.
  16. Bit harsh on Dean Smith, John Terry and Craig Shakespeare that... Do we then sit with Brighton, Ajax and Dortmund to do the same with Chelsea and Man Utd?
  17. Our recruitment badly failed too. Many players didn't deliver anywhere near what they can (this is not just down to the manager y'know). The club didn't offer Schmeichel a new deal. We had a lot of injuries. Past years' mismanagement meant we were shackled by FFP to a certain degree.
  18. It obviously wasn't. We don't need to oversimplify or be that reductive because we want it to fit an easy narrative. Many things were wrong last season and not all were (solely) pointing to Rodgers.
  19. Mods! Ban for use of swear words. See ya Dags - or as we say in Danish - fåk åff 😘
  20. We kind of agree overall then. His creative game is excellent, his finishing isnt.
  21. His timing of runs into the box may well contribute to this, true. His header way off target first half was one where he could have anticipated the cross sooner and made a better connection insteas of being a fraction too late.
  22. ... and then there's Kristiansen as well. Lots of pruning needed. On the flipside, he's probably enjoying his best football ever and is clearly enjoying it. Except not playing under Rodgers, he's not seemed unhappy about the club? I think it would be prudent to offer him a new deal if and when we go up, even if just as a safety measure.
  23. I may have come across very critical there. He's been excellent and I've been particularly impressed with his work rate, stamina and team work the past month. I'm just slightly surprised that his end product when assisting (fantastic passes, crosses and pressing interceptions) is markedly better than his finishing. He's got all the attributes to score the goals, but he seems to constantly make suboptimal choices when the chance presents itself. I'm positive Enzo and Co. can coach him into a better player in that regard (like with KDH).
  24. He's having a great patch of form. However, I will say he does go from wasteful to sublime and vice versa quite frequently. That is frankly astounding. I don't know what "Big chance" means, but I assume it's to do with xG or something. Either way, big pat on the shoulder for the guy. Just really inconveniently placed for European clubs - except the last WC, the major continental tournaments are during the off-season. His finishing and propensity to take the more difficult, low outcome option are the obvious weak points for me. Given his quality and that of his teammates he should probably be closer to Mavididi with his G/A numbers.
  25. Yeah, quite regularly we see levelheaded opposition fans on here who also know how to read a room.
