They were the only side to beat Spain when they became champions. They knocked out France in Euro 2020 and took Spain to penos a round later. Just a classic tough-to-beat sub-top side Besides, few international sides are particularly exciting as a neutral.

I don't think FIFA had any good reputation worth any consideration in the first place. FIFA should cease to exist really. They are the highest profile international sporting organization together with the IOC, but really this kind of corrupt stuff happens all over the spectrum. Bizarre to see this kind of argument on a Leicester forum. Norway obviously have the best team they've ever had with arguably the best striker in the world, so it's a bit demeaning for no reason. In the first half, Brazil's plan obviously worked. Besides the disallowed goal and the long ball (ironically) giving Ødegaard a clear shot, Norway had nothing. Brazil meanwhile spurned multiple gilt-edged opportunities. Basically how Real Madrid/Ancelotti would play against another top team.

Brazil are not the side from 2002 and the 90s, but they're no mugs. I thought they looked excellent at times first half, especially in transition. Vini, Cunha, Bruno all looked really good. Douglas Santos didn't give anything away and Nusa was shut down as well. Add PL winners like Martinelli and Gabriel and Alisson who's still a top tier goalie, and this is easily a side that should be among the eight best teams at a World Cup, imo.

Doesn't take away the fact they got the penalties. Endrick missed a sitter and Nyland made a handful of top saves. Except for Ødegaards chance at the end of the first half, Alisson didn't have much to do.
