  1. I guess they will all say hate the game not the player. No gentlemanly conduct to be seen either way.
  2. Max is the biggest moaner bar none. No-one as prickly as him, yet noone is as aggressive as him on the track either.
  3. Ah. So that the severance pays, relegation etc all amounted to roughly 90m. That's a bit easier to stomach. Terribly worded in the article!!
  4. "It is claimed the Midlands outfit paid almost £90m when they sacked Brendan Rogers two years ago" https://www.leicestercity.news/news/leicester-city-can-now-sign-coach-endorsed-by-jose-mourinho-after-fresh-managerial-update/ What the floppin deck ???! That cannot be right, surely. Relegation was less costly than that!!
  5. People must falsely presume we played our best XI under Cooper, which rarely happened. Same people must've only seen our results but not our performances and concluded he was 'doing well'. With So'ton and Ipswich you can at least clearly see a blueprint.
  6. It's just another trope that mainly gets used by people that want to 'big up' the PL or are xenophobic. The valid aspects are knowing the 'meta' of the PL; having decent media training and speaking passable English. There could be a case for knowing English fan culture, but this seems to have changed a lot from just a few years ago.
  7. Get Rob Page in! Also, have frankly no idea who would do a good job for us in the short and mid term. Glancing at the list of available managers, the standout for me is Maurizio Sarri. Not sure he's a realistic choice. Get on it, Claudio! One last favour...
  8. It took me 5 takes before I realised this wasn't Emma Hayes!
  9. Yeah, the Forest connection is way way way overemphasized. Besides, when have these owners listened to the fans anyway? It will not have meant the least in his sacking. It was clear as day for anyone with one set of eyes that we were poorly coached.
  10. Oh I'm not praising, I'm thanking. Compare to how long it took to fire Rodgers (between 6-12+ months overdue imo), I really wasn't expecting management to pull the trigger this 'soon'. We may have a fighting chance now, provided we don't make another dreadful appointment.
  11. Thanks for acting Top et al. Please make up for it with the right appointment this time.
  12. We've looked awful defending set plays. So so often we leave a man unmarked. I'm sure stats will back up. that we should have conceded a lot more goals than we have from SPs
  13. Well the players don't seem on board with Cooper, what's to lose? The timing would be just fine. A new manager comes in and has time to assess the squad before the window.
  14. Agreed, our squad is just fine for lower midtable. Any manager worth his salt should be able to get a tune out of them. Kristiansen, Ricardo and Justin didn't turn shit overnight. Set us up correctly so we don't get done time and again down the flanks. Use the evident strengths of the squad instead of persisting with an ineffective playstyle.
  15. But why? There's no improvement, no development and any momentum we've gotten with the odd undeserved result has promptly evaporated. He had the easiest run of games for the first 10, and we could still end up in the relegation spots by the end of the day. This squad contains internationals from Belgium, England, Denmark, Ghana, Nigeria, Argentina, Italy, Jamaica, Morocco, Zambia and we can barely make a fight of staying up. It's not acceptable in any way.
  16. Can we just pull the plug with Cooper already?

  18. So he's paid what he owes. Case closed.
  19. Hahahaha Perez outsprinting Vestergaard so hard from the halfway line. Made it look like prime Walcott
  20. Now Ayoze scores. Wtf happened to him. Biggest transformation in recent times?
  21. Riemer going with a back four against Spain (!) with Vestergaard and Kristiansen in the back line. They're being given the runaround. Neither look particularly good for DK either.
  22. Absolutely spot on. Even the top footballers are a bit boring to watch, IMO. Haaland, Rodrygo, Mbappé, Kane, even CR9 et al. None of them have the same feel as Messi, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, Zidane etc. They are machines more than the flair idols of the past. It's been years that I don't watch CL football. At most I will sporadically watch goal highlight reels. Even our games, I'd say I miss around half of them now. With small kids and precious little free time, I cannot bring myself to prioritise watching turgid football. Enzo was actually entertaining enough, but there were way too many games last season.
  23. One word: Brave
  24. Good thing they righted that wrong in 2014. Oh...
  25. So how do we help out Justin and Kristiansen? Neither are terrible players, but they're getting absolutely rinsed every game. We need to get more solid defensively with the personnel we have and Cooper is not addressing it.
