  1. I got one last week, responded to say I wanted to attend. As above, they said I would be contacted today but nothing heard back yet.
  2. The first time I bought my missus to Leicester she pi55ed herself at raw dykes. She said "come on how can that be a road name". I tried to explain it but she had the alternative image in her head πŸ˜‚ Oh and as a side note she thought belvoir said beaver was idiotic.....I tend to agree there πŸ˜‚
  3. What's the betting at least one person ends up in the water? πŸ˜‚
  4. I noticed a fair few when we do well and win something. They are a bit thin on the ground in leaner times though
  5. I've taken the survey. As someone mentioned there has always been a stadium in the locality, so whilst it does have an impact on noise and traffic on match days, this has always been the case. All the best with your studies πŸ‘
  6. Mine are genuinely SS. About as sinister as it gets !
  7. Agreed. I would not even give him a sniff of the bench (waiting for the wisecracks) in a league game and it's rare I single out players.
  8. Wow ok. Well I've been educated. Surely better things to do with your time πŸ˜‚ I knew it happened on dating sites but can't see the point having a convo with yourself πŸ˜‚
  9. Ok I'm probably naive but why would you need more than one account on here? I'm not saying it doesn't happen but I don't get it.
  10. Calm down mate. I was being daft. Iv removed it anyway. I should know better
  11. πŸ˜‚
  12. For the most part I like to think I'm fair and reasonable and try not to be negative for being negative sake. But the wording just reminds me of meetings at work with senior management who don't really understand you or your job and use lots of corporate management speak. Even with the best will in the world you feel immediately that you will be on different wavelengths. I'd love to be proven wrong though and our thoughts are actually taken on board
  13. I couldn't get past the "in-bowl experience" line in the email from the club without pi55ing myself. Please!!!! Most of us here have, I would imagine, been around football for most of our lives and it has probably never crossed our mind to use that term!!! It would help if football people were involved! That said, it will be worth a look to air views
  14. The plough FC......a pint, post match chips and my petrol money cos they are short on Sunday . circa 15 euros
  15. And to think we mock 80s fashion. The 80s produced 2 of my 3 all time favourite shirts. Ind coope pin stripe running fox badge and England Mexico 86. The 3rd being bukta walkers crisps 1990-92. But they are made as fashion items not just football kits these days. I've no doubt plenty of kids will be sporting these even if adults don't.
  16. Scumbag move by the club. You need your head checking if you pay this. Not only is it wrong, if you pay, it encourages more of the same in future. Friendlies are sh*t anyway. Played at half pace most of the time, nothing at stake, a million subs. Can't see why anyone would even entertain the thought of paying for it.
  17. Opinions please......I've been invited to a housewarming party. Someone from work, reasonably friendly with them. Just got married bought first house, early 30s, decent jobs.......what's a reasonable gift or sum of money as a gift? Not sure a fiver in a card or a bottle of lambrini is going to cut it. Please remember I also have to save up for tickets to feed my lcfc addiction 🀣
  18. I'm being serious here......my daughter has friends online that when she sees out in person she's says it's awkward to just walk up and say hello. They text before approaching each other. It's not just her either. Not really kids fault either. It's the norm. It's now I wonder whether I should have been firmer on the no smartphone rule when she was younger. But damned if you do damned if you don't. Refuse to get them one and they are left out
  19. Agree. Spot on.
  20. Fair point....pre brian little crowds were sparse but early 90s things picked up and I can remember pen 2 jammed and rocking at certain games long before kick off
  21. I tend to agree/sympathise with you. I have no issue getting "my head around" how to use these things but I just don't like how the world is going. I know for a fact my parents wouldn't have the foggiest about mobile tickets or apple wallets and have no inclination to learn. I like a ticket. I like a person to serve me at checkouts, I like to pay in money to a cashier at the bank not to a machine, i don't want to register an account to buy something and remember ANOTHER password, i dont want to create a profile and book an appointment to go to my local tip......I could go on but i wont as im off topic a little already. My point being I'm not particularly old(40s) and it might not be difficult to use but I also don't want my whole life online. It's about data collection and control. If you like the tech, fine, use it, but it shouldn't be the only way to do things and a free choice should be offered. The global outage the other day baffled me. The world existed before the internet. Why wouldn't these organisations have manual back up plans in place? Anyway. Rant over 🀣 Edit....I'm aware of the irony that I'm spending my time online posting this 🀣. But I chose to. That's the point
  22. They were. Had to get there early to be sure of getting in. Ground busy and atmosphere building an hour before kick off sometimes πŸ‘ Granted......not at barwell for the u23's
  23. 🀣🀣🀣. OP was worrying too much. I'm not sure he would be too fussed if you attend or not πŸ‘
  24. Ha ha . Lucky is one word. I have multiple emails trying to flog me everything from mobile tickets, to appalling Hawaiian shirts to stadium tours to a 372 quid hospitality experience. I'm just waiting for the day they will email to offer me a reasonably priced ticket.......I may be waiting some time .
  25. Like you, I don't know the technicalities but unless you are a big club with nationwide "supporters" it just wouldn't be worthwhile. Mk dons are an example. I saw somewhere their stadium is only 20 odd per cent full most weeks. It just didn't take off in a city that hadn't had a pro team before. That said, it's despicable in my opinion to even consider it. They do it often in the NFL though and blatantly call them franchises rather than clubs.
