  1. Also please can we not boo the ref (it's a tough job), sing about arsene wenger chatting poo (didn't swear) and getting banged (too violent), stay seated throughout, refrain from waving those pesky flags and blocking people's view with tifos and keep goal celebrations to a minimum. Polite applause and a handshake with the chap next to you will suffice, rather than all that awful jumping around and screaming...its most unbecoming. If we can keep to those simple rules it would be most appreciated . I thank you.
  2. Until you think you've finished and dribble all over the floor 😂.
  3. Brilliant day, brilliant scenes in our end! Atmosphere 2nd half and especially after we scored, right until we got to our coach was fantastic. Our end was rocking!!! I moan about prices and say the game isnt what is was at times but yesterday was really what it's all about and why we spend best part of 100 quid to follow city 140 odd miles. Moments like that make it worthwhile. As supporters the reality is we have no real control over who the manager is or who starts (although I do like to think the chants for fatawu before the sub were heard by Cooper) and after my initial groans, for the following 90 mins, i just didn't care. This is my escape, as it likely is for many others, and nothing else matters for 90 mins. I saw fight from the players and that gets the crowd going. And yesterday for me was bang on. Well worth the pulled calf muscle, pulled abdominal muscle and hoarse voice I got from jumping around and shouting like a loon. I'd do it all again today 😂. Good, good end!
  4. Thats definitely the definitive 5-0. In the town hall square fountain afterwards.....I'll never forget one lad carefully taking off his shoes and socks on the benches 😂😂
  5. It's a costume? ???
  6. Ha ha he has a point. I know he was ex Derby and forest but he was one of the few that didn't speak in soundbites or trot out the same crap. All this tactical analysis is mind numbing ......as I think Brian clough might well have said as well......9 times out of ten the team with the better players wins.
  7. I'm the same. Any live game or match of the day, I can't be bothered with the analysis, interviews etc. It goes on at kick off and immediately off at the final whistle. They all say the same b0llocks anyway. There's a good clip of Brian clough telling motson that nobody wants to listen to you talking about the game, just show more of the game . Well said Brian....below....about 3 mins onwards
  8. I was in Spain (real spain, not a benidorm type resort) for this one and the Blackburn game (which was either just before or just after, I can't remember). Both games were 1-0 to city with rooster getting the goals. These were the days before Internet and mobile phones and I couldn't get a paper for results for love nor money. I had to rely on crackly phone calls to my not particularly interested in football mum for the scores. I'd got one of the results and scorer from her but when I phoned again after the 2nd game and she said 1-0 to city, Russell scored I remember being particularly annoyed......no mum that was the last game.....they played tonight as well.....you've got it wrong ...........I wouldn't have it!!!! Sorry mum.😂
  9. ha ha im pretty sure it isnt the official term, but ive always called it the flower or the original badge. glad you approve though. And you knew what i meant!
  10. Not a buyer of modern shirts, but nice to see the Adidas flower making a comeback on a few kits. Give me a retro style city shirt with an adidas flower and running fox badge and thats something i'd buy
  11. Just got my daughter and her friend tickets for the england v South africa friendly at the Coventry Bull Sh*t arena (my take on the CBS name.....sorry). Im all for girls getting to see women play and its good that they play all around the country but I think they have the pricing wrong here. Some seats at 40 quid for adults (ive had to pay 25 for me). We went to the England game at the KP last year and that was a tenner each for adults and 5 or 6 for kids and they sold out. They got it spot on. But i think they have missed a trick here. Its half term week against weak opposition. Lower the prices and theres a good chance of a full stadium for the girls to enjoy. As it is, it will likely be half full. Come on, lets not monetise the womens game to within an inch of its life like they have done with the mens game.
  12. Your right. I've just checked. It was 2007 I went. Funny how you remember things, dates just blur into one. But in any case the sentiment remains the same. I enjoyed seeing these Old grounds before they vanished.
  13. I'll take your word for it. I've been there anyway before they moved. We drew 1-1.
  14. Ha ha sounds fun. I didn't do that one, just as well by sound of it. Talking of London games, i did Leyton orient that season too and remember we outnumbered the home fans. If i recall they were shifted from their usual stand so that there was room for us all. Obviously after bumper gate receipts . Weird ground that. Fairly modern but there were apartments in the corners of the ground overlooking the pitch.
  15. Slightly off topic....only slightly. My favourite away days were when we were in league one. Getting on for the last chance to visit old style grounds with terracing. Very few remain these days. The standout ones I did were layer road (Colchester), Edgar Street (Hereford), millmoor (Rotherham ). Proper old tin roof grounds with turnstiles not designed for anyone with more than a 26inch waist. Modern stadiums are much of a muchness these days. Much better view and facilities but not so much character . That said I liked Stamford Bridge. It's strange to see a football ground in such a wealthy nice area.
  16. Fair enough mate. I'm in agreement that more needs to be done to attract younger fans and the next generation .
  17. First...I agree that the club aren't doing enough to encourage and enable young people and kids to attend . They are the next generation and are priced out, can't get tickets as a group and need an adult to attend with them. But it's not the fault of the older fans. Those in 40s 50s and even 60s have likely been part of a hard core of 9000 that attended Filbert Street in the late 80s, stood on excitable terraces and created an atmosphere that would make some on here cream their pants at lots of games. we have been home and away to some shit holes, herded onto trains in the dark days, had punch ups at stations or around the ground (and I don't mean we were wannabe hooligans, it simply wasn't avoidable sometimes) and likely attended their first game before some scroat with a smart phone who is upset there are no "limbs" to film was even born. Older fans have every right to be there and trust me a lot of us were a lot wilder than you see today.
  18. Brilliant. Glad you are doing OK. It's a party story you can tell eh
  19. Thats some commitment . Ah its only an embolism . I'm staying to watch the footy 😂 Hope you recovered well mate in all seriousness 👍🏼
  20. . 😂 👍🏼
  21. Had mine a week now. I suppose they get posted in batches depending on when they were purchased
  22. Get a grip people ffs. It's getting like a "who's got the biggest c0ck competition ". I'm a better supporter than you. No you aren't , yes I am. Yawn.
  23. Absolutely agree. And until this season anyone under 16 couldn't attend without an adult, putting a stop to a bunch of 14 and 15 year olds going as a group, which me and my mates used to do, along with many others, and we made a racket. Even those in late teens and early twenties are highly likely to be on a training or apprentice wage, or a student, and the cost of a ticket, not to mention membership and the improbability of getting a load of tickets together will take too much of a chunk out of wages to do it regularly. This will all affect the noise and atmosphere at grounds. The lack of terracing is also a contributing factor as like minded groups could gather together. But this isn't just a Leicester thing. It seems common around other grounds too.
  24. Get up stand up..... Bob marley There's one for ya😂
  25. I think everyone has a limit as to what they will pay for things. Even if you can afford it, you still think its not worth it. I can afford a tenner but I wouldn't pay that for say, a bag of chips. I'd rather go without. I'm about at my limit as to what I can afford and what I'm prepared to pay for football tickets as I've posted on here before. I can't be the only one and as much as I preferred the championship to the Premier league there's no way I'd pay £50 to watch us against the likes of Watford or Bristol City if we are relegated because that's the reality. They never put prices down do they
