  1. So as was the case in November 2023, the initial allocation has sold out before it’s even reached members. The demand is clearly there for the lower tier to be opened up.
  2. The owner had a crucial decision to make with this restructure. Side with Rudkin and the personal relationship that exists, or side with the overriding feeling of the fanbase. He will have lost fans over this who were anti-Rudkin but still pro-King Power.
  3. Saturday’s fixtures: Blackburn at home to Middlesbrough West Brom away at Bristol City Portsmouth away at QPR Oxford away at Southampton We can potentially go five points adrift.
  4. Watford at home to Wrexham tonight. If they fail to win, it will be exactly a month on Saturday since their last home win.
  5. This is one month on from the 2-2 draw at Stoke, Rowett's first match in charge.
  6. This was mentioned in Rowett's presser on Thursday. The first one against Norwich was as well.
  7. Back in the heady days of 2015-2016... Ranieri, Ranieri, Ranieri, he's taking us to Europe. The song shouldn't have carried on though once it became the generic version again.
  8. This is one which doesn’t sit right at all, given our city’s own challenges in respect to poverty.
  9. Tuesday night's win was our first at home since August without conceding, so tomorrow will be a big test to see if we can follow it up.
  10. The price of a ticket for second tier football shouldn’t be £35, but this is more of an exception given Wednesday’s plight. It’s worth putting money into a club of that stature.
  11. 3.8k was the allocation last time and it didn’t reach members, so I would think we will get both tiers again.
  12. For a home performance, it was probably the most complete one since the 2-0 win over Birmingham in August.
  13. There’s probably very few times a reaction to a manager has been quite like it was last night, at least on the South Stand side of the ground.
  14. The penalty save, coupled with the fans singing his name at the end, will hopefully serve as a real confidence boost for him.
  15. “I think we need to remember the badge we play for – it's a huge club and we need to play with that little chip on our shoulder because any team that comes here, they should know they’re in for a tough day. That's a feeling we need to create.” https://www.lcfc.com/pages/en/media-article/jamaal-lascelles-leicester-city-lcfc-bristol-city-preview-championship
  16. This is from a BBC article on 6 March 2002 (coincidentally almost 24 years to the day): "A range of fixtures and fittings from the Carling Stand will be removed and transferred to Leicester's new stadium." It's a real shame the club didn't incorporate any features from Filbert Street into the design of the new stadium. Middlesbrough, for example, relocated the original Ayresome Park entrance when they moved to the Riverside.
  17. Yep, absolutely. Just thought the quote was worth posting.
  18. This part of what he said was good to read: “Having been born and raised in the city, I know what it means to the people in our communities and the passion that exists among our supporters.”
  19. The financial reputation of the club in the wider football community, what with the non-compliance to the regulations, does taint the success slightly in my view. There’s no pride to be taken in breaching the rules, and it’s one of the main reasons we’ve become a widely disliked football club. This isn’t just related to the recent mismanagement by King Power either. The club had to reach a settlement with the EFL in February 2018 for the FFP dispute relating to 2013/14.
  20. This isn’t meant to sound like one of those ‘better fan’ posts, but the continuing theme of people in the fanbase who dismiss any anti-KP arguments lead me to think more and more that they aren’t actually overly invested in supporting LCFC. Because surely if they were, they’d be more clued up about the overall situation. Some of the comments on social media are so ludicrous at times, that it almost does make you believe they are accounts associated to the club in some way.
  21. The biggest contradiction of those who are staunch King Power is when they come out with the ‘fans before 2016’ argument, and then at the same time, state things which are factually incorrect. If asked to lay out their reasoning for why KP’s ownership is still in the best interests of LCFC, as we know it’s often met with hostility and insults. There’s currently fans who are more loyal to KP than the club, and many in this bracket talk about being ‘proper supporters.’ The only proper supporters are the ones who stand by the club.
  22. Fair point, but it has been a theme throughout the season. Managers in general can’t coach players to have desire unfortunately.
  23. To add to the recent comments, we were outplayed on the day but putting that aside, they looked like a team with far more agility despite playing a day later than ourselves during the week.
  24. There won't be many other away wins over the weekend in the top two leagues which were as deserving as Norwich's yesterday.
