It's generally accepted there is always an equal chance when it comes to managerial appointments working or not, and this one feels very much like that. Part of me thinks Cooper will turn out to be the right fit for where the club is at, but also can't get away from the feeling this appointment doesn't seem right somewhere. Pre-season hasn't exactly been encouraging either.

As much as there were encouraging aspects to the Your 90 Minutes session, it was disappointing to hear that the club do not have a waiting list for people to register their interest in moving to the SK1 section. Not all that surprising though.

Ah, same here! Just checked.

Interested to know how many people have received an email from the club today? The original email states we'll contact you on Tuesday 30 July to let you know we have everything we need ahead of your visit.

The concern is whether the club will try to limit his influence though, in terms of any potential changes to the matchday set-up.

The club’s history is also showcased inside the Fanstore, so it’s clearly been thought out this way. Unfortunately, the stadium has a sanitised feel about it, which then impacts that emotional attachment and sense of belonging. Although many fans including myself hold a special feeling for the site itself, there’s a lot of scope for improvements inside and outside.

Positives on the impending Cooper appointment

Just think it’s worth mentioning that despite having an inferior team, they did of course stay up at our expense. So that in itself shows he’s the type of manager who can maximise the ability of his squad. -
Positives on the impending Cooper appointment

Grows the belief about him being the right fit. For me, probably the best part of this article is about Cooper delving into the move from Filbert Street and wanting to know more about the dynamics of the stadium. The ‘all as one’ mentality which is mentioned is exactly what’s needed next season. -

The club is in this type of market these days, so not a bad signing at all. -
I was only thinking recently about showing some appreciation for the forum, it's such a good platform.

This sale was always likely to happen and it’s seemingly gone a long way in complying with PSR to avoid another breach. There’s the element of pride that our academy has yet again excelled and produced a £30m player, but that doesn't take away from the club's mismanagement which has led to this point.
-
For a club that claims to be deeply committed to the local community, this is yet another example which goes against that. It's so disheartening not only for loyal supporters but also the future of the fanbase, along with the policies on ticket sales.

Just moving away from the current talking points, any word on whether the club will continue to hand out clappers in the concourses next season? I created a similar thread last summer and my viewpoint remains the same, they bring shame on the club's reputation and have no place at a football ground. I'm not sure enough people realise how degrading clappers actually are, but purely from an atmosphere angle, there will be even less of a need for them next season with our backs against the wall. My plea to LCFC would be to stop wasting money on clappers and to focus more on other ways to maximise the home atmosphere, such as investment in safe standing.

I’ve had a feeling for weeks it’ll be Palace away first up.
-
If anything, matchdays are too geared towards being a family atmosphere. Not saying it shouldn't be encouraged, but it feels like there's hardly any other clubs who push it quite as much as ours.
-
Certainly wouldn’t be a popular choice and to be fair, @Sol thewall Bamba has rightly pointed out the huge red flag when it comes to OGS. There’s still a chance that King Power could be interested in bringing him here though. As we know, they’re hardly a model for being a morally decent business.
-
Assume you’re directing that at mine? Didn’t say I wanted OGS, just that I could see him here.
-
Solskjaer came to mind earlier and could actually see him here, feels like someone the club would go for.
-
For what it's worth, I think it will be one of the current frontrunners this time though.
-
The club have obviously gone left-field before, and someone like Bruno Lage would be similar to the Puel appointment.
