  1. The home games against Sheffield Wednesday in 2008 and Bournemouth in 2023 come to mind.
  2. They replaced the original banner inside the stadium in 2011 which took away any form of history. The major success in the years which followed under King Power doesn’t excuse this.
  3. It's not that simple though, for a number of reasons. The culture of the home support is to have a presence next to the away fans, but as a general point aside from getting into all of this, there are clubs who have given themselves a better home advantage by reconfiguring their ground.
  4. There needs to be a rousing atmosphere on Saturday for Rowett’s first home game in charge. The current configuration doesn’t maximise our home support but from now on in, it needs to be Everton/Leeds style to get the players over the line.
  5. For the November fixture, our club priced the away tickets at £25 for adults. It’s a shame Middlesbrough haven’t done the same for this one.
  6. It’s a big ask to go there and win, but it would be a statement to the teams around us if we were to do so.
  7. There may well be enough quality to get ourselves out of trouble, but the problem is that hasn’t been shown throughout the season.
  8. I would say it was on a par with Derby if not slightly better. Both 12:30 kick-offs as well.
  9. That away support was proper today. Disappointed there was a small block of tickets which didn’t quite sell, but the noise made up for it.
  10. The deciding factor will be how this squad responds to Rowett, and whether he’s able to get enough out of them. Unfortunately, there’s enough reason to be doubtful about that.
  11. The problem when no selling order is listed is it becomes unclear which blocks have been sold and which blocks haven’t yet been made available. For a fixture like this one, surely it makes sense to open up the full allocation, unless it comes down to the home club.
  12. Just over 150 tickets remaining as of 9:10 this morning (Friday 20th Feb).
  13. The interview didn’t seem very natural to me, and I haven’t come away with a great deal of confidence from it (albeit that’s hard anyway at the moment). I still say it was remiss of him not to even give a mention of the club’s history, but that’s also on the interviewer in fairness.
  14. This is a decent suggestion to align with the graphic that was put out.
  15. Not overly impressed by his first interview, too generic for my liking and disappointingly no mention of the club’s history. However, he’s a former player and deserves our full backing. Not convinced at this point that any manager can halt the decline though.
  16. Just picking up on the first part of this post, hopefully this time around the main manager thread will stay as the one when the new manager gets announced, or at least remains neutrally titled. This way, all debates can stay under one banner, and the ‘out’ threads don’t become the main topic of discussion about the manager.
  17. There's just over 200 left as of 8:25 this morning (Tuesday 17th Feb). The fact that a Midlands away game hasn't sold out by this point speaks volumes.
  18. Rowett’s first match in charge if he gets appointed in the coming days.
  19. That wasn't the point of the post, and we're certainly not that.
  20. Agree about being more known around the world than some of the traditionally successful clubs. I think top 20 is fair, but not top 10 overall.
  21. We can be rightly proud of being the 6th most successful club in English football this century, but just as a distinction, we're not historically in that bracket.
  22. This looks like a relatively new plaque outside the stadium. Good to see features like these in the city. There’s also of course one on the outside of the Filbert Street site, which at least places some importance on that area.
  23. The colour theme to this graphic has been smartly thought out with the black and Cambridge blue sash.
  24. Good to see this today. The original Filbert Street turnstile to be preserved and included within the development.
  25. The second half performance was enough to warrant a statement from the players issuing a joint apology. The trouble with that of course, the same argument could be made for all the other similar performances and results this season.
