People are celebrating the fact that Rudkin has got a promotion just because the club worded it in a sly enough way. Now this new Technical Director will have to answer to Rudkin himself, who knows nothing himself.

The club only made mention of the chants in isolation, completely failing to mention context and the last 5 years that have built up to this. The statement is a red herring that distracts from the root cause of why.

Yes its OTT, but people put more effort in condemning these chants rather than adressing the crux of it all. Chants like these dont appear out of thin air. Its called load management. Doesn't mean there aren't other external factors as you've said, however the crux of the issue is playing lots of minutes back-to-back after a prolonged period of being bench warmers and sometimes even out the squad as a whole. The correct way is to naturally bring those players back to full match fitness. Either that, or they should have been given minutes from the start of the season coming on for 20 mins or so to see out games.
