'I Want People To Be Closer' - Khun Top Speaks
Nods replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I mean I guess it's a start, as long as it's actually followed up with substance and regular communication. Coming out and saying 'we want to communicate more' isn't really communication in and of itself. The first step to fixing a problem is to recognise that there is a problem. They recognise the communication problem. Now just the small matter of convincing him there is a football operations problem, as there was no hint or suggestion that our business has been conducted woefully. Trying and failing to maintain status in the Premier League is one thing. From the position we were in, and with the systemic nature of our poor business year after year? That's another. We have players that were signed when we were an ambitious Premier League club with eyes on Europe who we still have, and aren't even good enough in the Championship. We then go some way to recovering that situation and handicap ourselves further by spending obscene amounts on crap upon Promotion. On long term, expensive contracts. Again, players not even good enough for the league beneath the one they were signed for. So yes, improving communication is a step in the right direction. But for the sake of all things good, Top, can we have a look at the plonkers running the football side of the business? Or at least for now acknowledge that there will be a real review with tangible change in the coming months. -
Do you think when Pearson told a fan to 'FOAD' that he actually wanted the fan in question to perish?
-
100%. With any luck they've done themselves a good ol' Streisand effect.
-
Do I think the chant is acceptable? No. Do I think it should be sang more if that's what it takes for the hurty little boys running the club to finally recognise we aren't happy? Yep. They are genuinely that infantile they might actually run away.
-
Yeah, had Okoli been starting regularly he'd have head butted Vestergaard's elbow into touch, got up and scored the winner. Use your brain.
-
Begovic' expression is all of us reading that line up.
-
Players are useless, but it's clear they don't know what they're supposed to be doing. We have no viable striker, so I'm not really sure what game plan would work. But that's no excuse for not having one.

We were shite and had 37%. Can't you see that it isn't the possession focus causing the shitness? We were even worse to watch than normal with less possession. We have half arsed players, unfit players, and completely hopeless players. No style of play is going to mask that.
-
Can people bemoaning 'possession football' finally recognise that possession isn't the issue? Slow football and shite players are the issue. Possession is neither here nor there.

Good. It would have just been papering over cracks.

Leicester v Middlesboro - Tuesday 4th November
Nods replied to beepee1984's topic in Leicester City Forum
Desperate or not, 3 at the back is the right move for us. It makes us more solid in the middle, compensating for a total lack of defensive midfielders. It takes our weakest position out of the mix, meaning we don't have to play Thomas or Kristiansen. And I hate to say it, but Pereira isn't the same player defensively he once was either. And it gives us more numbers in midfield, hopefully therefore creating more overloads, allowing us to hopefully actually create chances in the game. It makes a lot of sense. Playing Soumare, and Silko ahead of Aluku doesn't, but it's a step in the right direction for me, if true. I don't think it'll solve all of our issues overnight but I expect us to look a bit easier on the eye as a result of the formation change alone. -

So many people talking about a leaked lineup that nobody has posted, linked, or even mentioned who the guy on Twitter is. What is the line up? Just spent 30 minutes trawling this thread and X. Never felt like a more incapable internet user in my life. Do a guy a favour. -
I mean yeah, sack him. Decisions are beyond strange. Wouldn't be arsed to see him go. But don't expect much more from anyone else.

Needs to be photoshopped as a clown and put on digital billboards in his country. If it's funded, I have the technology and know-how to run it. He needs to be embarrassed. It's the only way.
-
Just wish we could fast forward to the inevitable relegation. It's when, not if. Get us rid of disinterested Top and the incompetent Rudkin so we can all move on. Genuine question - would Top be more likely to sell while we're still a Championship club, or would we retain some value us as an asset upon relegation?
-
Yeah sorry but a plane is as half arsed as our players. Boycott. Chant constantly. All I'm hearing is the odd geer and boo. The most passive fans in the country.
-
Without the due respect. How the fvck do you miss that.

Winks putting in a 1/10 here
-
A football club to support. Cheers.

After losing yesterday, Lampard spoke about little moments and duels letting them down. Not controlling a bouncing ball, that sort of thing. He described it as not being at their highest level. Week in, week out, we are sloppy in those moments. That goal came from an inexplicable piece of poor control from Winks in the final third, gifting them possession. We are so sloppy.
-
2 minutes in and it already looks pedestrian. We just don't make runs off the ball.
-
Luke Thomas has finally been dropped, and Okoli keeps his place over Faes. That's about where the positives end.
-
I get the thinking, but not being a twat is central to good management.

You're taking something you don't like (the slow and patient football to come out of Man City via Pep and Enzo), and applying it to most of football. We've been poor since Rodgers because we have poor, unmotivated footballers. What would you call the early Brendan style of play? That was possession, too, obviously. It was just better. And it was great to watch. That's not to say we'd be wise to play any form of 'possession football' if we got promoted. We'd be a weaker side so we'd be more effective trying to take our chances on the break. And it would suit our inferiority complex ravaged fanbase down to the ground.
