Still comfortably in the top 5 worst signings in our modern era but he is an honest professional and a decent to good Championship CDM. Just a shame we brought him in as a Premier league player at 5x more than he is worth and paying him 5x more salary than he is worth.

Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR

I'm loving the way the club is keeping us in the loop on this one so as to minimise our anxiety over the inevitable points deduction and when it may land. Great work. -
As long as he isn't on 30k and as long as he isn't on a contract that goes past June, with maybe an option for a 2nd year if milestones are met then why not? The way I see it we don't have any effective centre forwards at the minute.

That was That was the first City shirt I ever owned and I can still remember the way it shimmered under the floodlights on night matches. Just beautiful. Oh and the old white wall in the background
-
True but even if we are not signing anybody, someone in place to handle the sales and the contract renewals. Then there is future recruitment, scouting networks, loan pathways, refresh Seagrave staff. Loads to do other than purchases.
-
I understand recruitment takes time but I think the fact it was announced in November would suggest something was in the pipeline othewise keep quiet until the end of the season. We were as good as relegated at the end of Jan so a revamp of operations could have been started then to give them plenty of time to get someone ahead of the summer window. They must have been happy with the structure or not given it much thought until Whelan left. Clown show.

Absolute shambles that a month has now passed since news broke about the plan to revamp the off-field football operations with no appointment, no timeline, no update. Transfer window opens in 2 weeks and we will be making signings (maybe) with the old set up. Typically slow and indecisive way of conducting business which will have a knock on effect for the club's future.

Centre backs are all about partnerships & also the dynamic with the no.6 in front. Lurch looks much more comfortable with Nelson next to him and Skipp in front than Faes and Winks. That block he put in just after they scored was fantastic.
-
There are still question marks over some of his decisions and whether they players are executing his instructions but deserves credit for the way the team have played since the first half against Sheff U. The players are definately playing for him. He deserves credit for (finally) playing Nelson, for figuring out that Winks & Faes are the toxic twins, getting the best out of Lurch, Skipp and Reid. He has struggled with his subs but the squad is very thin and not many options available to him. If we can get Ramsey back so we have 2 no. 10 options, get rid of Faes & Winks in Jan and then help him with some actual signings then things will look good.
-
The fact that this is just another open-ended, not linked to any time limit decision tells me everything I need to know about the people who own and run our club: they have learnt absolutely nothing and they think we are idiots who will swallow up and be apeased by anything they say. Don't give them another penny.

What we really need is a leader at the top of the club. We have a spineless nepobaby who specialises in failure and inaction.
-
I really wanted this one to work out. I like the way he is willing to engage and be open with fans which is refreshing after being treated like a non-entity by the club, but it seems he is short of the required level. His game management is very suspect and his ability to get the best out of his players is average at best. Have we won both halves of football in the same match this season? It doesn't feel like he is able to get us playing for 90 mins.

The Flemmish turd brush has been found out. Winks too.

Incoming None Outgoings Faes = A good transfer window.

Wow. Clueless is an understatement.

There is only way out of this nightmare: Aiyawatt sell the club. Everything else is just prolonging the pain -
Someone mentioned it today about things going really pear-shaped once Winks and Faes were starting games again. Any fresh optimism was swept away then. It seems clear that Winks has checked out again and Faes is just dressing room poison. I would love to know what his win loss record is since he joined and how many clean sheets. They must be terrible figures. Any rational manager would keep him away from the first team unless desperate
-
He is out of his depth but it is clearly a very, very difficult job with limited ability, limited funds, huge wage bill and a toxic attitude from players who think they are better than they are. We would need a really good manager and I would have absolutely no faith they could find such a manager. Our club has become a total and utter shambles from top to bottom. A rotten symbol of poor decisions, incompetence and arrogance. It's heartbreaking.
-
Any developments on this? It seems a really important next step for the club so surely should be priority 1. If they appoint well, it will put some much needed credit in the bank with fans, if they mess it up it will only serve to quicken the decline and the day they sell up. As Typical with the club, there has been no direct communication with fans or what to expect and by what date. Cue the scenes on here when they appoint Martyn Glover.

If we are going to sack yet another manager, let's at least do it properly. Let's first employ the best Technical Director we can afford abd attract. Then we allow him to fully understand the club dynamics, current squad, finances. Then he makes a recommendation to the rest of the board about direction of travel and the manager to implement the vision on the pitch. The new Tech Director will probably be a yes man and probably be agent recommend, but it would still be the right way to do things and we all want Aiya (t)watt to do things the right way if he insists on hanging around.

Faes Vestergaard Thomas Skipp Sigh...

If we look at Arsenal as the poster boys of a well run club in 2025 and how they do things, replicating or being guided by their set up would be a good starting place: Chief Executive Officer: Richard Garlick. Previously MD & DFO. Law background with experience as DOF for the Premier League & before that at WBA. Director of Football Operations: James King. Responsibility for overseeing the clubs football and administration. 16 years experience in business and sport. Sporting Director: Andrea Berta. Recently appointed after a highly successful 12 year period in the same role at Athletico Madrid. Below them you will have the heads of departments: Medicine, Recruitment, Academy etc. By comparison, we have a call centre worker as acting CEO, Rudkin in the DoFO roll, and now with a job advert out for Technical Director. My previous doubts stand in so far as you need the vision and competence at the top in order to recognise and attract talent to back fill the positions below. How does Top/Rudkin know who is good and who isn't? I appreciate we are not Arsenal and be in a posirion to recruit Athletico's highly-rated SD, but we appoint the best available with the lure of job autonomy and a clear pathway for progression.

I am sceptical about everything 'Top' does but there does seem to finally be an acceptance that things aren't going well and they don't have the expertise in the club to turn things around. I just struggle to see how they get the appointments right if the people doing the hiring don't know what they are doing - it's just reliant on luck isn't it?
-
There is zero evidence that they have the will or the skillset to turn around this juggernaut of failure. I know some people who have this Stockholm Syndrome when it comes to King Power or anything Aiyatwat & Rudkin related. It's a deep-rooted blind spot that makes otherwise logical people act like blinkered cult followers. The sad reality for the whole fanbase is that it means we will be divided for years to come or until they sell up.
