Never really seen much about Beckinsale to have an opinion either way personally. I remember listening to her on a podcast with Simon Pegg and she seemed nice. I do like Capaldi thought. Doesn't seem to have a filter.

The Telegraph's owners have strong financial links to the fossil fuel industry. They are also demonstrably a lying, evil bunch of *****. Stop reading them.

No, it's fluctuated, as it is designed to do with reviews every quarter. It's currently lower now than it was in the spring. Labour doesn't have any direct control over Ofgem but it does set the long term policy which is going to lower bills over the next few years. It comes from a mix of sources like taxation, borrowing, and private investment. It depends on the project. A lot of these are just research funding for various projects that have been completely oversimplified by whatever sources you have been reading. And they're over several years as well, so that "11.6bn" figure is a multi-year international climate-finance commitment, not a single transfer. There's no evidence that Vince is being personally enriched by the government; his company does receive government subsidies but again they are over several years (decades). I don't understand why you seem more angry about an arrangement designed to benefit our environment than you are about the billions profited by corrupt Tories corrupt mates which explicitly lead to more deaths during the pandemic?

So female-presenting trans women would have to go into the mens? Does that mean male-presenting trans men would have to go in the women's? Side note, I wonder how many toilets these days are actually marked 'men' and 'women'.
-
Where are trans people supposed to piss? And why are they more of a problem than predatory men?

It’s the same old lie “about we’re all in the same boat“. Actually, we’re all in the same sea, but those evil ****ers will be in super yachts and we’ll be in dinghies. A monstrous bunch of *****.

Turning a blind eye to racists, bigots and fascists is a massive problem, yes.

I mean, that was 12 years ago, and in the entirely different context of immigration still being in the 100,000s despite the Tory promise to get it into the 10s. After their failure to decrease immigration they took us out of the EU which explicitly sent it skyrocketing into the millions per year, which has already halved under Labour and is dropping; and created the Farage Small Boat Crisis. How is that a lie? They said they'd get £300 off by 2030. It's 2025. That's like sacking Marti cos he hasn't got us promoted by the end of the season yet. You categorically cannot call that a lie until we've reached 2030 and it hasn't been achieved. Why are bills so high in the first place? Could it be anything to do with Thatcher's privatisation and subsequent Tory governments leaving us vulnerable on the global stage as well as allowing said private companies running a monopoly to focus on profit for their shareholders rather than supplying a vital public service at an affordable price? Or could it be Brexit, which took us out of the EU's energy market and made the acquisition of electricity more expensive and complex? Or is it all of the above? They said they wouldn't increase taxes on working people, which they haven't. If I can survive 14 years of the Tories, Brexit and conservatism I'm sure you can put up with the next decade of Labour fixing the broken everything they inherited. I don't like him either but for entirely different reasons, mainly because of his recent lies about Starmer and I fear he'll split the left even more and risk enabling Farage. Kathryn Porter, who runs a consultancy firm that profits from the oil and gas industry which she has previously worked in. Mystifying why should would be so critical of clean energy and when it poses such a threat to her business model. It would be easy for her to retrain but lying about renewables is so bloody profitable these days.

Only just watched the video and I don’t think the rozzer has done much wrong there. He’s engaging with the community and trying to educate some racists about the consequence of their vote, then asks them if Lowe, who they brought up, had racist convictions. Which considering he is a former Reform MP, and a proud racist, IS a pretty fair assumption. Lowe is just a whingeing hypocritical bigot. A complete non-story.
