Some recovery from facing the wrong way after T1 to 10th for somebody worse than Luca Badoer

Absurd comment

Because it reeks of people reading something on the internet that they have little knowledge of, and choosing to roll with it, particularly the Stroll stuff. There's no doubt he jumped to F1 very quickly considering his experience but he won things at junior levels, and don't recall him looking like a fish out of water in his first couple of years. He'll never be World Champion material but that can be said against atleast half of the current grid. People dislike him because of his privileged position, take that away and you've got a driver who is no worse than the likes of Magnussen, Zhou, Giovanazzi of times gone by and arguably even Hulkenberg in terms of achievements in F1. You don't see any negativity towards those drivers. He got pole in ridiculous conditions a few years ago and was going well in the race until I think the team cocked up bringing him in too soon? You don't do that stuff if you're talentless. He seems to lack one lap pace but in races he's solid enough, not exactly a crash merchant. If the 4 teams behind Red Bull are as close as they were yesterday for the season then it will be very minor points he's fighting for because of course he's inferior to Alonso and they probably are the 5th best car if you had to choose, or will be later in the season based off how they declined last year. As for the engine stuff, will put my neck on the line here but the major regulation change in 2017 was nothing to do with engines. 14-16 Merc had insane speed and decent reliability. I am certain any huge advantage they had in 17 onwards was gone. They shared wins frequently with Ferrari for the first half of the season before pulling away at the end in 17/18 or 18/19 (can't remember) Ultimately though the regulation changes in 2017 weren't so much about the engine like in 2014. I feel there was a change again in 2020 which was probably their most dominant year since 2016, again not engine change regulations. They mastered multiple changes and it's not all because of the engine. But yes these current regulations are right up Newey's street

The usual crap being rolled out I see Stroll the worst driver ever to have breathed? Merc 5th best team? Mercedes only had a good engine? What? First few years of the turbo era sure. There was a big shift in regulations in 2017 which they mastered and to a lesser extent in 19 or 20 I think? If Merc really are the 5th best team then they are like a tenth off being the 2nd best if qualifying is anything to go by. It was fairly close in qualifying last year and then the grid spreads for the race. If the same thing happens tomorrow then it's much the same as 2023 with Ferrari/Merc/McLaren/Aston Martin taking points off each other and a title effectively wrapped up by June

Have Chelsea ever had a domestic away draw? Seriously

I didn't realise this was on BBC. Was watching for a whole 15 seconds and he goes and does that -
Funny most people seemed to love his scripted commentary before he joined Sky funny how a bigger platform changes people's opinions. Totally agree though they're all annoying, but if they're gonna insist on this format whack an ex Chelsea player in there too. The channel is literally Neville & Carragher

****ing fanzone commentary, what the hell are you playing at Sky

Luke Thomas to Middlesbrough until the end of the season
Brainy replied to DZ-LCFC's topic in Leicester City Forum
The hostility towards this guy is just weird. With the offence being taken at some of his performances (if we're to believe Tyler_Boro from X, formerly known as Twitter) you'd think he was stinking up our team, not somebody else's -
Apologies if that's tongue in cheek but that's absolute bollocks

5 big games this season, bottled 3 of them from winning positions, didn't turn up to the other and if I can put a dampener on the only one we've won, it came at such an early stage of the season that it didn't really matter. Hmm

I just don't get on with this one for some reason. Pretty much always use the same tactic which has done me well for years and that continued in my first game in Israel. Cannes was alright but a struggle for different reasons, but Guingamp was shite with a really good squad, got sacked halfway through the season though I did turn into Brendan Rodgers after about 10 games and was gagging for the sack. They got relegated, joined Bastia which was a small step up from Guingamp also in League 2. Just can't get anything to work. Started a new game in Scotland with Stenhousemuir. Came 2nd in the League Cup Group Stage (should have been 1st really), with a notable and somewhat deserved win away at Motherwell. League season started okay then I go and lose 6 on the trot. Just cbf with it

Gap is already 6pts in my head so anything better in 6 hours time is a bonus. Pressure is all on them though, it's still something of a free hit for us. I'll start being concerned if we lose tonight then drop points at home to QPR

Only thing to be seen is how much other teams have caught up which you can not tell as of yet, as it certainly seems Red Bull haven't cocked up their car (and why would they have with no major rule changes)

And they will always pass off downright reckless as entertaining. This brand of cricket will do alright but the blind optimism and lack of responsibility on days like today will continue to irk me -

What's more infuriating is that I initially put chasing 555 before thinking nah, that's far too many -

Looking forward to us capitulating to 120 all out chasing 500 in 140 overs, all in the name of entertainment. If we can come out of this game with a draw it will be a fantastic result, especially with the series in the balance right now. Unfortunately "a draw" is not in this teams vocabulary which, in some scenarios is fine... Here you're just consigning yourself to not being able to win the series. Especially with the India squad so depleted I'd be pretty disappointed when we don't look at the bigger picture that this is a winnable series if we just hang on in there this test. -
On the plus side we have to play both these teams and they weren't impressive
-
Touchy I'm more than aware he didn't do much good when he came on. Just find it amusing at the time of looking that his cameo seemed to be the main talking point from the match. Though probably goes to show how normalized winning has became for us
-
So tonights hot topic after another routine win is how bad was a guy's 10 minutes cameo when added to a team playing in 2nd gear all half
-
In my mind it still just comes down to just not getting sin binned it will only dampen the experience for fans of the team who are a player down. Doubt the other fans would care. I do get what he means but again, a player gets a traditional red card and generally that team goes defensive, no one moans about that?

Could just not abuse the ref then??? As said above though I don't agree with blue cards for tactical fouls
