I think I alluded to that by showing Bradfords spending over the last 20 years and the fees involved, it would only be deemed as good business if it was a (realistic) decent fee. Or If he would’ve have been surplus to requirements here because we end up having either adequate replacements within the squad or newly brought it in. What’s to say it’s good business? A random poster on a Bradford forum suggesting the fee? Bradford have a business model since administration and in the last 25 odd years have spent £250k once. Their money is historically spent on agent fees and hovering up free transfers this includes time in the championship and after selling players. So it’s seems unlikely that they would all of a sudden spend 10 to 20 times more than they have spent in the last 9 seasons on one player.

So with no new faces in how do you know he could not have been used this season? the fee received for a young player is so paltry it probably covered Aribos loan period for a few weeks.

This would take some topping if true Real Betis have revived their interest in Leicester City striker Patson Daka. The 27-year-old Zambia international is among a list of options being discussed by the Spanish side, who tried to sign him last summer for £10million. Daka will become a free agent when his contract expires this week and is weighing up his options but is keen on a move to La Liga.

Logic would suggest it’s easier to have some “stand out moments” in a more successful side, because Daka sure didn’t have any in the last 2 seasons like Skipp. By the time he leaves? “Some good moments” he was here 5 years. Give Skipp another 3 and maybe we can hope for the same. As for costing less, a rumoured £20m in wages, and one good night of finishing in Europe, against a Spartak defence that shipped 11 goals that week. Both hideous, but I think Daka takes some beating given the duration he was here, and spending nearly half his time in the division below he was signed for as one of “Europe’s top talents” and still looking out of his depth. Let’s not forget ONE league goal in 57 appearances across 3 seasons from the back end of Enzos period to scoring against Stoke last season.

The problem is that even the selling part is underwhelming, because the finances are so precariously positioned that the club can’t afford to play hardball with any offers received.
