  1. Loving Southgate's tactic of lulling the other team into a false sense of superiority and then BAM!
  2. I was saying at work this morning that I could see us winning the tournament having played utterly terrible football.
  3. I get the feeling England are so coached to be methodical and disciplined that when are player like Bellingham uses a bit of flair as he just did, no one knows how to react and support such a move.
  4. So... You're saying I left my front door key with an ex-con?
  5. I think the fact that James Timpson, of Timpsons, the key cutting company, has been appointed Minister of Prisons. Note to Alannis... that's irony.
  6. I may be wrong, but from my history lessons of long ago, PR was complicit in the rise of the Nazi party in Germany? Which is a major reason for the resistance to it in our country.
  7. JPS with black and gold away kit.
  8. So what are the SkySport add-ons? Formula 1? Tennis? Maybe the cricket and Sky Atlantic?
  9. I'd just like to say something else that has helped me. Just sitting outside and reading. Listening to the birds and soaking up nature. I don't have a fancy garden. I live in an ex-council house on a council estate. The garden faces north and gets little sun, but even on the coldest days I wrap myself up and get a warm drink and spend at least 30 mins enjoying the garden. Doesn't need to be anything fancy to enjoy sitting outside. I say I listen to the birds - that's if the neighbours haven't got music on (not my immediate neighbours, they're very good, but that just shows how loud it is! ) or someone is having an argument a couple of streets away or the rush hour traffic of the nearby ring road allows it. We have bird feeders at the bottom of the garden and I spend ages just watching them. Mainly sparrows. I've always been pretty dismissive of sparrows, but watching them I've come to realise they are full of life. They don't have it easy, but they always are constantly chirping away in groups, flying back and forth, eating, drinking, bathing, getting on with life. It's like Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount, consider the sparrow. Suddenly life seems better. If Mr Sparrow is ok, then I'm ok. Of course, Jesus never said, consider the sparrowhawk
  10. Remember when you used to go to the fair and the tattooed lady was a sideshow rather than 40% of the customers?
  11. I know it must be worrying, but stressing won't change anything between now and the end of August, so enjoy yourself as much as possible (ie, don't watch England play) There's essentially 3 options 1. Worry yourself sick until your diagnosis says all is fine. You'll look back on it and laugh... except you won't cos you'll realise you spent 2 months in constant terror for no reason. 2. Worry yourself sick until your diagnosis says all isn't fine. In this scenario you merely extended your problems by 2 months, but at least now things can be treated. So again, 2 months of constant terror that changed nothing. 3. Enjoy yourself. Find things to distract yourself. Don't dwell on what you can't do, do what you can. Have things to look forward to. Get your mates round, visit people, travel if possible. 2 months of enjoyment before you actually can change anything. Yeah, I know it's easily said (typed - actually, my carpel tunnel syndrome is making me re-evaluate this expression ) than done, but if you can, then give option 3 a go. I'd say this on anyone awaiting a diagnosis. All the best. Hoping for a good outcome for you.
  12. Have you tried any medication? I resisted medication for ages, then I bit the bullet. It was enough to level me out and I've stopped taking them and I'm fine without. I know that doesn't work the same for everyone, but worth a consideration.
  13. I think she took A-level BSing.
  14. Drain the Swamp People? Is there no ethnic group they don't hate? (Other than white Brits, obvs.)
  15. I was going to parody your "you used to be cool" comment to @Daggers, but this has only made it more apparent that you were never cool.
