We coild play for 5 hours and still not score.
-
Maresca is killing us here by not making a change. Bristol have brought on a number of fresh players and it'll work in their favour.
-
Surely we'll see Ricardo for Choudhury soon...
-
It's uninspiring to say the least. I'd be tempted to try to get Winks on the ball further up the pitch ! At the moment we are lacking any creativity and he could help to solve that problem.

I think if you speak with some Ipswich fans you'll probably find that Mckenna has his faults too. Fans of other clubs probably fail to believe that we sit second in the league yet despite that a fair portion of the fan base question Enzos decisions. Would Mckenna take a backwards step to join us if Enzo walks? We are hardly an attractive proposition...potential points deduction/fines/transfer embargos... I can't see many managers being desperate to join us unfortunately.

I can't state how important it is to have as many leaders in the side as possible in these last set of games. The likes of Coady, Winks, Ricardo, Vardy will be hugely important to us and help us get over the line. On another note Keown hit the nail on the head today when he said that the bounce passes between Winks, Ndidi, Choudhury etc look good on the eye but they are ineffective. They need to be progressive passes. I'd like to see Enzo work on this in the international break and encourage more forward passing. We need to make our opponents turn around and have to defend rather than allowing them to just sit in their formation whilst we pass it side to side infront of them.

Having 3 slow defenders on the pitch against a fast attack was a massive risk to take and it back fired on Enzo. We went two goals down because of that decision but then managed to get back into the game through a flukey own goal and a great finish by Mavididi. The red card has killed us today. Just as the Chelsea fans were turning against their own side aswell! Mavididi was just gaining confidence and started to run at his full back but then had to be hauled off. Dewsbury-hall was brilliant today aswell as Winks. Both of those two look like premier league players. Ricardo is a massive miss for us in the inverted full back position.

Shocking defending. It'll be 5/6-0 if we keep defending like this. Enzos decision to start 3 slow players at the back has killed us here.
-
Fatawu is miles off of it today. Poor touches and bad decisions so far.
-
Lack of pace vs extreme pace and we get punished. It'll happen over and over again. Way too easy
-
Worried by our lack of pace at the back and their extreme pace upfront.
-
Given Iheanachos record in this competition i would imagine he'll either start or feature from the bench. If we go there and play without fear i genuinely believe that with 6000+ fans backing the lads we could get a shock result. All depends on if Chelsea turn up aswell.

This!!! 100%...absolutely no competition for positions despite how well you play when you come into the team. We could all sit here and name 10 of the starting 11 every week.
-
Two really talented players. Especially Philogene he is capable of creating something out of nothing.
-
It's literally that predictable
-
The one thing that really baffles me currently (aside from looking like we don't want to score once we take a lead) is why we fail to speed up our passing once we have beaten the oppositions press. I completely understand trying to dominate possession but as you say our lethargic style is playing right into our opponents hands at the moment. We are beating the press and then playing the ball back to Coady/Faes/Hermansen just to do it all again.
-
Desperately need to hold on here especially as Ipswich are losing
-
Get Iheanacho on and hold the ball up. FFS! This is painful to watch. We are consistently bad week in week out at the moment.
-
It's sad really how predictable we are.
-
Vardy has to be more intelligent there. The refs given them all match long. Any touch on their player was going to end up in a free kick to Sunderland.
-
Play like this second half and we'll leave here with a draw.
-
I hate refs like this. They ruin football matches when they are giving freekicks for the slightest of touches. We only have to knock their players off balance and the whistle is in his mouth.
-
Once we score it feels like we lose all interest on scoring any more goals. Once we beat Sunderlands press we should be desperate to move the ball forwards quickly. Instead we look really lethargic.
-
This is when we need to go for the kill. Sunderland are unsettled and have already let us in behind 3-4 times. Do it now before they make chajges at half time.
-
The one thing i'd like to see is us be more direct tonight. We are definitely capable of it. If a forward pass is on then i'd be encouraging the players to attempt it. Nothing is more tiring than constantly having to defend.
