LCFC 3-4 Southampton, post-match thread
lee7 replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
It doesn't even come as a surprise. Our first goal was extremely fortunate and so was Dakas. We are shocking. Absolutely woeful. A spineless bunch of players that couldn't handle a relegation battle in the Premier League and we now have the same bunch in another relegation scrap in the Championship. -
Same here please! I'd appreciate a link
-
Was just about to say Mark Davies. When he came here on loan he was different class.

Reminds me of when we signed Huth! A solid signing. Fingers crossed he stays fit. -
3-1 loss incoming. It doesn't matter how many players we sign. If we don't get a new LB and a new striker then absolutely nothing will change.
-
The fact that we keep churning out the 'senior pros' week in week out despite them proving just how spineless they are in last season's relegation battle absolutely boils my p*ss. Have any lessons actually been learnt?
-
Definitely! A squad full of bottle jobs. No characters within the squad to turn the freefall around. We are too reliant on our wingers to produce moments of magic and that makes us easy to defend against. Ayew or Daka upfront is a waste of space yet we will continue to see that for the remainder of the season until we are relegated. I genuinely can't remember ever disliking as many players in a Leicester squad as I currently do.
-
I'd rather see Monga on the left with Mavididi through the middle. To be fair to King he has limited options though.
-
I just hope that King has the nerve to drop some of the players that have been stealing a living for quite some time! Even if that means playing younger inexperienced players.
-
Given our obvious need for a striker, it’s genuinely worrying that we’re approaching the end of the transfer window without signing anyone for that role. A points deduction looming and a squad of players that can't cope under pressure just makes me fear that we are sleepwalking towards relegation yet again. Then in a few years Top will give another interview where he says 'i can't understand how we were relegated from the Championship with the players that we had'
-
Fingers crossed this is bad enough to get him the boot.
-
I literally thought the same as he was being subbed off. If he ends up missing 1-2 months of football then we will get relegated.
-
I think even if we lost 5-0 Cifuentes would still keep his job I predict that we will be 3-0 down by half time and we'll pull two late goals back that will make it look like the match was competitive.
-
It's painful watching him play on a regular basis. It's clear for us all to see that he is not at the level required.
-
Our striker situation will cost him his job. We seriously lack anyone that poses a threat. When Wright came on for Coventry Okoli looked terrified every time the ball came near him.
-
It amazes me how any professional football player can come through a clubs academy and still be completely one footed. His obsession with constantly using his left foot is ridiculous. Compare him to Nelson and they are worlds apart.
-
The lad does 1-2-1 sessions with a highly rated coach from Northampton and some of the stuff he is pulling off in matches is coming straight from those sessions. The constant repetition is working wonders for him. He looks like a real talent.
-
Spoke too soon
-
I bet Sakomoto can't believe his luck. He has come up against the only full back in the league who would go down in a derby with the score at 1-1 like that.
-
90 minutes of this please!
-
Absolute sh*t show incoming. Get him out
-
Monga looks like he is too nice in my opinion. He needs to add a bit more aggression to his game.
-
Someone at this club needs to make the right decision and sack him. That performance was absolutely abysmal. We didn’t deserve a single point tonight, let alone three. West Brom were completely robbed. It’s painful to watch. Fatawu and Monga are constantly coming short to receive the ball, leaving us with no threat in behind our opponents full back. We then end up relying on James or BDCR to run into the spaces where the winger should be. For the love of God, change the formation to a 4-4-2 and play with two strikers up front.
-
Please get rid of him! Someone at the club do the decent thing and sack the guy. We'll genuinely get relegated with him in charge.
-
Nothing will change. Ayew drops to deep and we are too busy looking to play wide all of the time. Until we get a decent striker in it will just be rinse and repeat week in week out. Two very poor teams but the major difference is that West Brom look to get their wingers in behind our full backs.
