Going to go against the grain here a bit – I find Mr Beautiful Pubs efforts bland as **** but I actually like the refurb (for the most part) of the Old Horse, I never thought the interior before had any particular charm. Some of the spaces / rooms look great, not overly modernised and not all painted grey. No neon signage or "husband creche" bollocks. They've proper reduced the amount of space in front of the bar though for some reason so it all feels a bit tight. Went to Bar Dos the other week and it was good to see the breakfasts back on pre COVID form. Also gave the Kings Head in Smeeton Westerby a bash last weekend, lovely little pub.
