  1. Yeah it's tiny in comparison with some of the giants out there.
  2. Photons of light have zero mass and travel at the speed of light. That means according to Einstein that they also have zero time. Which means that they are essentially timeless, and travel across the universe instantaneously from the perspective of the photon itself. It's created, emitted, travels billion of light years across space and is absorbed by our eyes or telescopes, all in the same instant that it was born. How the hell does that work?!! Another frightening and mind blowing fact is just how fast light is. 186,000 miles per second. MILES! That means it can go round the surface of the Earth 7.5 times every second. A complete lap of our entire planet in 0.13 seconds. Yet the universe is so vast it still takes something that mind bogglingly fast billions and billions of years to travel the length of it. That's why fibre optic and sattelite communication is so fast. Communication with someone anywhere on the planet in only a few seconds or less. Another measure of it is one foot per nanosend which is a billionth of a second. So when you turn out your bedroom light which is 6 feet away from your head it takes 6 billions of a second for the darkness to hit your eyes.
  3. Another great stat is that the Sun is so big that it makes up 99.86% of the entire mass of the solar system. That includes all the planets, moons, asteroids, comets, gas, dust etc. Everything. And in that 0.14% that's left, Jupiter is over twice the mass of all the other planets combined as well. Another indication of our insignificance in not just the universe but just our own solar system.
  4. That's lovely.
  5. Hubble's Xtreme Deep Field image is still my favourite image of all time. Before JWST which has now replicated it but just staggering to think that that entire patch of sky in that image is only 1/10th of the width of the full moon, or the size of a grain of sand at arms length. Every dot of light is a different galaxy.
  6. I'm not helping you now you haven't tagged me in the genius comment above 🖕 Well that and the fact I've never owned a telescope so haven't got a scooby.
  7. Yeah it was a bit shark jumpy tbh.
  8. Does that mean the price of crisps is going to go up? 😲
  9. Lie angle won't affect distance much if at all. It affects how the club face is delivered compared to target. Mainly the starting direction left or right. Upright will start more left, flat will start more right.
  10. 160 yards straight sounds like they suited you fairly well. But, I'd suggest trying them on the course to see if you get the same results. If not take them back to the shop you got them from and ask if you can adjust them to better suit. Whether that be lie angle or whatever.
  11. Agatha was ultimately OK if a bit meh. I won't be itching for S2 or rewatching it any way. Loki S1 was similar though so who knows.
  12. She has a tendency to overact a bit in this role though. Certainly as her original police office part of the role. Her performance for that bit was way over the top.
  13. I hate the islands on carriageways/motorways that only have 2 lanes leading up to them off the slip road but then 3 or 4 lanes on the actual island to try and work out which one to be in for your exit. It's no wonder people end up in the wrong lanes on these.
  14. Yes they over-priced him. But plenty of players have had that happen and remeined professional about it. He refused to play for them in trying to engineer a move and force their hand. Essentially going on strike. That never ends well for any player and Napoli doubled down and refused to sell him.
  15. Yeah there's always something new to pick up on even for the more experienced viewers.
  16. 4 is me after a curry night and a few beers.
  17. Burned his bridges at Napoli with a shit attitude in the transfer window. Other clubs rightfully were wary of that given his huge price tag. Only himself to blame. There's a right way and wrong way of leaving a club.
  18. My favourite theory I heard is that the matter falling in gets its information encoded across the surface of the event horizon. Then as Hawking radiation occurs it uses that information to re-encode the particle being "emitted" thanks to it being quantum entangled with the anti-particle falling in. Thus meaning that the black hole essentially keeps a memory of all the matter it ever consumes, and that matter is accurately represented again during the process of it's evaporation over 10 to the power 100 years it takes for a supermassive black hole to evaporate. No idea if that's ultimately true but it blew my mind at the possibility.
  19. I liked his conversation with Rogan about black holes, my favourite cosmic subject. It's just a shame he didn't go into more depth about the information paradox and the theories around the solution to it. There's some mind blowing stuff they've discovered on that topic.
  20. Thing is we've known about tidal heating for a good while now. You'd think we'd have predicted that icy moons might have a warm interior.
  21. In a back 5, what you lose in terms of one on one defending with Coady, you gain in his vocal organisation of the 3 CBs, reading the game, stepping up to intercept balls, and sweeping up behind the other two either side of him. All of which he's very good at. And he has a very good long range pass on him to hit the wingers with.
  22. Faster so probably won't mention it.
  23. Red Bull should appeal that track limits exclusion for his first lap in Q3. The bit of the apex which he cut in both turns 2 and 3 was short enough that technically he didn't have all four wheels off the track at any one time. When his front wheels were inside the line his right rear was still on track, and when his rear wheels were outside the line his front right was back on track. A technicality I know but still valid according to the rules. I guess they'll wait and see what his second lap is like first.
  24. A lot of fans still want him gone and think today would have been the last straw without the comeback. But given the owners gave him a new contract in the summer when they didn't really need to, he was the first choice of the Sporting Director after Lopetegui left, and the matter of our horrendous run of fixtures to start the season, I think he gets until the end of November regardless. Plus until we get to two wins from safety I think he gets plenty of leeway.
