It’s a tough pill to swallow, seeing him want out. but take a look at Sheffield Wednesday. They had 14 professionals on the books but they all fought for the badge when we played them. most of the clubs I respect in the prem buy young players with skill and potential, keep them for a couple of years and when they are so much better and profitable, sell them for a big fee. Palace do this and Bilal would fit exactly into this mold and should be looked at as someone who would be at the start of the process and not the end.

most of the players we have sold or trying to sell are entering the ,last year of their contract hence the lower price we are accepting, Bilal is not. I don’t think we are playing hardball as such, just wanting the fee that will cover the outlay of his contract for PSR reasons. He’s also young with bags of potential.

I’ve always thought that Leicester City was here long before our current set of owners and current players. It will also be here long after they’ve all gone too. I’ll follow the team ( unfortunately from a distance these days) and tune in for every game and still support 5he team. i do understand why those who are season ticket holders or go to most games might feel different. Personally, I’d give my right arm to see a game right now… watching them all live on tv just isn’t the same.
