If we adopted that pay structure we would never attract any players. As much as I agree with you, it’s not how the market dictates. imagine if your boss said we’ll pay you £20k a year with 10k add ons depending if you achieve your objectives, and the companies objectives. you would get a market rate salary with a bonus structure over and above normally.
