People dreaming of an Okoli Nelson partnership are going to get a rude awakening. Can't see it despite us fans thinking that will be the best partnership. He will like Vestergaards passing and he will assume Faes is good because he played for us last season and is a Belgian international. People will sit off us next season so our CBs will become passing merchants like the last time we were in the Championship.

Agreed - the most important thing is what the manager wants and needs, not whether someone gets a buzz about seeing our players run about in training.

I guess Alves will have to give the manager a problem by making it impossible not to select him - I get we have to develop players, but it's up to the player to push himself into the side and take opportunities that are presented to him - same goes for any player.
