  1. Damn my accurate assumption!
  2. Have to say he’s won that, rather than be properly fouled… I assume we miss this?
  3. Could we just get on with it please!
  4. You can tell it’s been a cold, dark winter given the cameraman hasn’t yet adjusted his brightness settings!
  5. Because the person suggesting this is not sensible? Look at the rest of the suggested ‘formation’ - a wing back that is actually a winger and likes to cut inside, a complete lack of serious transitional cover in midfield and so many central attacking players they’ll get in each others way and be easy to pick up. It would also be clear to anyone with a bit of sense that the type of centre-backs we have don’t fit into a back 3 very well - too many lacking serious mobility, which is needed for at least one of the two wider ones.
  6. That was pretty disgusting.
  7. We’ve been pretty awful with the ball so far.
  8. Ayew hatrick incoming
  9. Yeah, their board help gut the side in January - not been the same since.
  10. Well, I checked the hutch and found the normal number of chickens and three points for Leicester City, so I might as well go to bed now!
  11. Yes - but we were also excellent in that half. I wouldn’t call us that in this one.
  12. I think some Bristol City fans will be relieved they’ve already reached 50 points… because they look very, very poor on this showing so far.
  13. Urrrrgh, streams showing Stoke vs Ipswich preview 😒
  14. Yeay, Vieites is back on the bench
  15. Daka should be high on their list then! I also wouldn’t be suprised if they have Luke Thomas on a long list… his long throw ability will have been noted.
  16. Really!?! A pinball session deep inside in our box, second shot in quick succession, that has come through several bodies in the process. Also - he goes with his feet because that was the closest part of his body to the ball.
  17. If we’d have won 3-1, Andy would still be manager.
  18. No chance of this working - it would be pure suicide. Now Skipp can’t cover both flanks at the same time, so if he’s filling in at right back, who’s slotting in on the left? If it’s Nelson… what’s the point of playing 3 centre halves if you’re not trying to keep them playing more centrally? Also - Wink’s position in this mock up misuses his skillset. He’s naturally suited to being a deep passer looking forward, not a half turn / box crashing midfielder.
  19. If you’re setting up a 3-5-2 with our available squad, the most natural and obvious solution for the left wing-back slot would be Luke Thomas. He’s a player that has shown he can get up and down the flank for 90 minutes and there’s quality in that left foot of his.
  20. Ah yes - the sedant position of central midfield
  21. This ‘defence’ of said player also needs to be sided with the fact that Abdul was one of the most prominent parties guilty of wasting possession under little / no pressure - especially in the second half. There is no question - he had a poor game.
  22. There’s an argument to say these things were evident in the interim games before Rowett joined.
  23. That wasn’t about fitness levels, it was about basic ball retention. Too many players making bad decisions with the ball.
  24. I feel his changes were questionable… not necessarily who he brought on, but where they were asked to play. Of course I’m mainly looking at the idea of playing James wide left to begin with. I think there was an acknowledgment from Rowett himself that it was a bad move, because not long after James swapped with Mukusa… but then ended up on the right after Aribo came on, with Winks suggestively operating as a 10. Personally - I’d have been minded to take off Fawatu, or as a minimum, switch him to the left flank.
  25. We can’t keep dropping points from winning positions though - especially as the more it continues, the more we’ll play these brain dead, risk adverse half’s of football in an attempt to get over the line.
