  1. You can fly directly from Philadelphia to Birmingham. Then catch a train to Leicester. Hotels wise there is plenty of choice all within 20 min walk to the stadium. There is the Holiday Inn Express next to the ground or a Holiday Inn a short walk away. Travelodge, Ibis etc all in the city centre. Enjoy your stay. You can fly to Madrid from Birmingham also.
  2. Never bother with these sort of pre season glamour games. I think they are pointless. Let's just hope we have no horrendous injuries again.
  3. Having watched several of the matches, I now think that the mens game has a lot less to offer. Not only is some of the play skillful, we see none of the player antics as is prevalent in the mens game. No feigned injury with players rolling around as if mortally wounded. No constantly surrounding the referee and complaining about the decisions taken. As such less stoppages and more free flowing football. All in all far more entertaining. Time the referee's tightened up on dissent and time wasting in the mens game. We may see far more and better football.
  4. We're the left side, we're the right side trophy.
  5. Happy 18th.😀 Was the first ever post about Craig Levein perhaps?
  6. Morrisons, reduced price, must sell before end of day. Tuesday 5th, 4pm.
  7. I was there. Sat in club Wembley seats, unfortunately was at the Chelsea supporters end of the ground. Cup was presented in front of city supporters at opposite end to us. 😟 So couldn't get any decent pictures. Nevertheless a great memorable day out.
  8. I always book my holidays around our fixtures. Want to go to one of the Greek Islands in September so just waiting to see which would be the best time to go.
  9. I'm hoping the club will pay me not to sing. The people around me beg me not to as I'm so out of tune! In fact I'd probably empty the terraces! 😆
  10. The guy who sat next to me was p*ssed as a newt! Half time he staggered down for more booze! Second half, his mate carried him up the stairs and got him to his seat. He then fell asleep for the rest of the match. To be honest he didn't miss anything of note. At least he didn't fart! They really stink when he does!
  11. When will they learn? Basic tactic is to run the ball into the opposition corner and keep it there as long as possible. Failing that any chance you get try to keep the ball in the opposite half or knock the ball out of play up the field. Anything to stop them from attacking us. Surely Brendan and the players should know this. 🤔
  12. A good performance, thought it was a good all round performance, although felt Daka was poor. Just a point about VAR, if the first penalty taken had been scored would the penalty have counted since Soyuncu was found to have encroached the area. Yes the goal would probably have stood! The law should be consistent either way.
  13. Remember him well. A superb goalkeeper. Learned his trade from the best, Banks and Shilton. Always thought he should have been Englands number 1.
  14. Now confirmed on website
  15. Drawn on Monday 6th. Sometime Monday evening after 7:45 So who do we want?
  16. What about parking at the University? Is this still available, if so who do you contact?
  17. Another one bites the dust, I for one am not sorry to see Spurs struggling, a club who believe they are one of the top elite. Lets face it Nuno was about Spurs 5th choice as manager, not surprised that they have sacked him. Who's next in their hot seat? Will Conte take the job? I don't care as long as they fail to challenge for any honours.
  18. I remember when people scoffed at Steve Walsh being up front sometimes!
  19. I was impressed as to how well the away fans observed the minutes silence. Full credit to not only them but everyone in the ground for being so respectful.
  20. ........continued He lived in the tiny hamlet of Bilstone near Market Bosworth. On the day of his trial he cycled to Leicester with his kit in a bag in icy cold weather. Upon completion of his trial he was given a bottle of pop and a bag of crisps, was "told well done son we'll be in touch". He duly received a letter from the club telling him that they were pleased to say he had impressed them during the trial and would he attend another one. On the day in question he woke up early to find that it had been snowing and that the roads were icy and it was freezing cold. He thought sod this I'm not cycling all the way to Leicester again just for a bottle of pop and a bag of crisps, so duly jumped back into bed for some more sleep!
  21. My Grandfather had a trial for Leicester City.
  22. A good friend of mine is an ex pro footballer. He was a defender. Always says when asked about the best forward he ever played against, Greavsie was. In fact his exact comments are "Greavsie used to p*ss all over us.. " A truly great player.
  23. I heard one of the police ask the ultras if they were ok and could they do something to make them more comfortable. Anyone would think they were policing a sit in somewhere!
