Best to happen in May, than right before the football season starts
-
Even without Enzo and reverting back to his familiar position? Surely with his long contract, if no club pays the market value then he walks into our starting 11 next season
-
Bag the 10m compo before 30 June, keep a committed KDH. Play a back four of Ricardo at RB and Kristiansen at LB.
-
Unfortunately, as much as I love some of our players, they are not Chelsea standard so I wouldn't be worried.
-
Not bothered either way tbh. I would be happy if he stays, but he won't have the resources to suit his style of play in the prem and the 10 million compo could be very handy to have before 30 June.
-
a) Is his stock really that high the fetch that fee? b) Are clubs from the Championship/League One interested in Thomas really going to spend that much and cover his wages?
-
100% agree mate, just can't see another four first team striker situation at the club, when only one plays.
-
Wilf has a part to play next season in the high 8 positions for that high press and ball recovery, possibly against the big 6 and most away games, but we need better in the games that we should win. He would need to accept being a rotation player though. That being said, if he doesn't show full commitment then get rid and replace with someone who wants to play for the shirt. None of this 'I am happy at Leicester, but don't mind trying my luck elsewhere' bs
-
Highly doubt we'll sign an attacker, unless we offload Cannon or Daka. Enzo has said many times this season that only three strikers make the squad. One needs to go, alongside Iheanacho to leave us with two and a squad space. It is the depth out wide and the high 8 positions which is more of a concern IMO.

Percy article enzo set to stay, vardy and vesty new deals

Yes, I agree. There is a number of different priorities and our lack of depth is something I've said before. But buying a quality set piece taker is a must. -

The more important thing for me is sorting out this set piece issue. It is really important that we sign a player, who can deliver a quality set piece that beats the first man at corners and makes us a threat. -

Vesty has been one of our best players this season, and fully deserves his new contract. If Enzo wants to keep him as it suits his style, then that's all I need to know and I'll give him another chance at this level in a very different system. Really important we sign a fast CB, but three CB's should help nullify Vestys lack of pace that was exposed in the Bodgers days. Yes, he is going to cost us goals, along with others, but he is a crucial piece to how Enzo wants to play. -
What about Ben Brereton Diaz? Wouldn't be my first choice initially, but 6 goals and 1 assist from 12 games since joining in January is a very good record. 25yrs old and not wanted at Villarreal, so wouldn't cost much and room to improve. Sure he is versatile too.
-
12 goal contributions in 20 games is an OK record. Daka's high press and work rate is something needed in an Enzo system to win the ball back in key positions. Yes, recent months he has been very frustrating, but I do think he is a massive confidence player
-
With three strikers here next year, if Vardy resigns, I'll keep Cannon unless we get our money back. Rather invest our limited funds in other key positions and work with the potential of Cannon and Daka
-
Not like we have one sitting on our bench 😒
-
The fact that Hamer can take a good set piece, it's a yes from me
-
I agree with this 100%. We need to find ways of playing which doesn't expose Vesterguard's weaknesses as much and we need the two centre backs either side to have pace. Obviously, we'll be caught out a few times, but we need to now work with what we've got rather than recruit the finished article. Some of our best football played this season start with Vesterguard at the back

Articles linking Kelly to Newcastle, so I just assumed he would be out of our reach
-
Mads Stor Ward - let's face it, nobody wants him. Faes Coady Nelson Vesterguard Justin LCB - Lloyd Kelly (would be perfect as a left footed free option). Tosin is another free option, but like Kelly, I think he might be out of our reach now. Ricardo Hamza Winks Brownhill KDH (would love him to stay, but think he's being forced out) Barkely Quality number 8?? Fatawu - 14 million Mavididi Another quality winger to add depth in that position McAtee McAteer Alves Vardy Daka Cannon That's the bare minimum squad from me, would like it strengthened further, but I don't know how tight our finances are. We need to desperately sort out the set piece issue, as this has been an ongoing issue for seasons.
-
Yeah, I appreciate that, I just think he will be pushed out because that's what I've heard
-
KDH has made it more difficult for the club to move him on before the end of June, or was it a move to try and get more money for a player 'who wants to stay' which goes against the media reports. KDH wants to get more money for the club from his sale because he has been at the club since 8 and knows the financial mess the club has
-
Has anyone ever watched Sensi play or just think we should sign him based on recent window links?
-
This 100%, show these young players that they are the future of Leicester City and give them minutes in such a massive celebration 🍾
-
Albrighton extension? He has struggled to make the squad in this division 😂
