Mitch Willis - Fitness Coach leaves after 13 years
ClaphamFox replied to stu's topic in Leicester City Forum
I've given the owners the benefit of the doubt until now, but no more. They can do one if they think we'll take this lying down. King Power out! -
Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR

Indeed. I was hoping he'd provide a bit of insight into our PSR situation, but he didn't seem to know much at all. -
Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR
ClaphamFox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
He did say that, but shortly after that he said: "They're not in a great place financially, but they're not in a terrible one either. They simply have to box clever." Overall it was difficult to get a clear picture of what he actually believes to be the state of our finances. He didn't even seem certain about the fact that we've been charged for 23/24 (he said "my understanding is that they're potentially facing a charge"). It didn't clarify anything. -

He predicted seven points, which seems about right to me. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/clyzxmkrm84o#:~:text=Football finance expert Kieran Maguire, and sustainability rules (PSR). -

Maguire is very good mates with Di Marco, so may know something about the what’s going on behind the scenes. -

One of the questions Kieran Maguire will be tackling on his pod tomorrow is how fooked we are with PSR on a scale of 1-10. -
Fewer people in the stadium is an inevitable outcome of the push to make everyone go digital. It was always going to happen.

As we’ll very likely be in the top 2/3 for most of the season I don’t see why it would decline, if that’s the direction you’re thinking of.

England Internationals Wales and Latvia
ClaphamFox replied to Leicesterpool's topic in General Football and Sport
Tuchel was absolutely correct in calling out how crap the atmosphere is at Wembley. It’s great to have an England manager with the balls to speak the truth. -

I'm looking forward to the three-part, no-holds-barred undercover documentary on Aaron Ramsey's training schedule during his recent three-match ban.

Ha - you're one step ahead of me...

You forgot the most important one:
-
Practically every time we appoint a new manager rumours appear just before the announcement heavily linking us to somebody else. Personally I suspect Cifuentes was always the preferred choice, but we'll never know for sure.

The Inter v Cremonese game kicked off at 6pm local time, so 5pm our time, no?
-
Just listening to the WYS post-Swnsea podcast. They mentioned that when they were interviewing the players on the pitch after the game, presumably between 5-6pm, Fatawu took a phone call from Vardy congratulating him on his goal. So not only was Vardy closely following the game, he was apparently able to call Abdul while sitting on the bench at the San Siro…

Swansea 1-3 LCFC, post match thread

Nobody with an ounce of intelligence is directing hate at Faes for that challenge yesterday. It was a perfectly good tackle. -
We were the better side and should have beaten them.
-
I’m not so sure. It wouldn’t be surprising at all if by the end of the month we’re averaging the two points per game ratio we’ll need to get 90+ points. And while Coventry have been playing under Lampard for a while and are probably close to the peak of their potential with their current squad, we’re much earlier in our cycle under Cifuentes and will likely get a lot better.

There are no circumstances in which a wrongly awarded penalty can be regarded as ‘fair’. The fact that you also saw it wrong doesn’t change that. The reason VAR was brought in at higher levels of the game was to deal with terrible decisions like yesterday’s. And it’s not going away. -

The ‘problem’ with the ref giving a penalty was that it was a very good and perfectly fair tackle. Faes did nothing wrong whatsoever. So yeah, I have a few complaints about it… -
It doesn’t. The truth is even scarier: the refs really are that shit in this division.

The answer is embedded within the question. -
If we were creating good chances, you might be able to put it down to player wastefulness. But we're not - the problem is that we're very easy to defend against and so are restricted to attempting shots that are unlikely to come off.
