Cheltenham Town Away FA Cup 3rd Round Pre-Match Thread 10th Jan
hejammy replied to Ian Nacho's topic in Leicester City Forum
At first glance I thought, yeah only bloody way we might win or play better than the other team is if we go with a 4-2-3-1-8 formation - then I thought who's this new Bench guy..... -

I've not said he's good enough have I? I've not defended him to say he's the best and should start every game? I'm simply saying that the hate he gets compared to some is unbalanced. The comparison was with Luke Thomas and the fact that its his natural LB but Hamza (who's natural position isn't LB) , did an OK job compared to what Thomas has been doing
-
Lazy is not something I would use to describe him, he's more so "runs a round like a headless chicken" than lazy, SoumarΓ©, Mavididi, Faes.....these are the players I'd call lazy. If you look at his stats of ground covered compared to some others you'll find he's higher ranked.

Our performances have been so bad, but every now and again, because of players like Fatawu, an individual moment has and will keep him in this job. Clearly Top can't be bothered to watch us, probably sees the scores and think, "what's the issue here?" The fact that the table is so tight also doesn't help. Unless we get into the relegation zone I can't see anything changing so we're just going to either come to terms with it, or we as fans kick up a massive fuss, like yesterday and he's forced to take note.
-
I agree but we all know that he has shortcomings but the hate towards him seems very over the top and not in line with the abuse that some others have. Agreed his off the field antics haven't helped, however it's stupid childish stuff that he does. Clearly he loves the club and is happy to be here unlike some.

I just don't understand the immense hatred for Hamza a lot of people have. Yes he wasn't great, but he did put in a lot of tackles and blocks that Thomas wouldn't have. Every corner you could see him urging his teammates to keep focus. LB isnt his natural position but still did slightly better than Thomas, who's natural position it is, has done. Like the post a couple above mine, nitpicking, we could nitpicking about most of the players yesterday. Even Nelson, who some almost refer to as the Messiah, was partly at fault for their goal. (not saying i dont think Nelson is a massive improvement from what we had by the way)

I hear all those going to the game with their sons. But the other day I had a chat with my 13 year old and explained why I believe the boycott is important and the reasons for it. Not only to explain the situation but to teach him to stand up for what you believe in and make your voice heard. It's important that our kids know. So whilst not trying to judge those who are going, because yes I get some if it, it's 1 game and perhaps an opportunity to send the right messages to our kids too.

Are we talking have them back in their prime or as they are now? If now then O'Neill, in Prime Pearson.

Why has he not gone yet? No rumours, no noise. Just so pathetic.
-
I said at the beginning of the season that he was the worst starting left back in the league and I got pelted by some on here. Completely stand by that statement still.

This is diabolical reading, didn't watch the game, glad I didn't, not gonna bother until a change happens. Marti needs to go and and now! Although I fear the club are completely oblivious and it won't even be on their radar.

Fuchs sake James, you just saved this clown his job. Hate the lot of these
