  1. We know what will be the main talking point now if City don’t score again !
  2. Liverpool particularly will say they struggle in such games . Bit of good fortunate there maybe .
  3. Is there anything to stop them buying him permanently? That is what we did when the EFL limited loans from Udinese a few years back .
  4. Dammed if they rush it and dammed if they don’t. Remember even before VAR one minute there were complaints refs took too long to make a decision but another would be too quick .
  5. Of course having a ref being told to review a decision by a team doesn’t mean they will go the way said team want them to though. The ref might still think it’s not a foul or handbell for example when the team do and they will still complain after the game that the ref got it wrong. I am not sure you would get much difference as they will still be making a subjective decision. People needed to just understand refs are humans and make errors in real time rather than think VAR was going to solve everything and be 100% perfection/consistent .
  6. Yes think it was no win in 21. Very difficult team at home.

  12. Is this plea going to make any difference? https://www.theguardian.com/football/2023/nov/22/howard-webb-var-advice-penalties-referees-premier-league Still be getting subjective decisions each week so remain inconsistent.
  13. Yes recalled a player for the replay who wasn’t eligible. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2023/nov/22/barnsley-kicked-out-of-fa-cup-for-ineligible-player-as-horsham-reinstated
  14. England lost to Uzbekistan in the 2nd round of the Under 17s World Cup .
  15. And your time starts now ! https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/icc-to-introduce-stop-clock-to-regulate-pace-of-play-1410004 Would be handy in test cricket too as a way of stopping slow over rates . I guess there will be caveats to cover certain situations.
  16. Rather predictably Lincoln won the re arranged at Leyton Orient which was abandoned previously with the Os 1 up after the tragic death of a fan .
  17. Old story surely ? Be a very Spurs thing though wouldn’t it !
  18. Probably best for the ref if Croatia win as his decisions won’t matter.
  19. Tough but winnable then . Probably want Iceland out of those 3.
  20. Who will face play in the play offs ?
  21. Teams who voted against the change .
