Don't count me in that, I think it was madness to offer him any deal. 3 years is beyond the pale. Stupidity rules supreme at KPHQ

Hell of a card but my god that's crazy! I'd expect those kind of prices for floor and then seating to be 50-100.

He asked around his social circles but didn't just want to sell the club to anyone, so I think he only asked people he trusted. Imagine the speed of the decision was to allow us to cancel any contracts with players/management and give a chance to drop down next season. If he hung around for another week and there was no buyer then we'd have had no chance of playing football this coming season. Honestly much rather do it this way then someone like Ginelly coming in, pumping in money and leaving the club in unsustainable debt.

Champions League Thread 2023/2024
filbertway replied to SecretPro's topic in General Football and Sport
Nah, it's just literally what always happens and always will happen. Media put player on pedestal, people get annoyed, media try and knock player of pedestal. They're just the loud voices though, the sane 95% of people that don't need to spew out every sad little thought in their life will rate him as player and a bloke. Can't believe how switched on he is for a 20 year old, clearly someone who's had an excellent upbringing. -
Let the man sign, let him play and then I can laugh at everyone who forgot how poor he is. Fingers crossed it's 3 years so we can keep him on the books till he's nearly 35.

Fair play, its an honest answer. If he has a good euros and we can make some coin then its no bad thing. Especially if Souts can potentially come in and become a first choice cb this season

Coalville Town Football Club, Club Statement - League Season 2024/25 (coalvilletownfc.co.uk) We're back baby!! Unbelievable work from everyone involved including the Andy Walsh from FSA.

I know he'd be a massive underdog and might play directly into Inoue's hands with his agressive but how entertaining would Inoue v Ball be if Inoue comes up to Featherweight, even if it only lasts 3 or 4 rounds For a heavyweight contest I thought Dubois v Hrgovic was great entertainment. Hutchinson v Buatsi has been ordered now, hopefully one to look forward to in 3/4 months. Sheeraz looked quality I thought, despite looking like he started slow it just seemed like he was working Williams out. Attention will now to turn to the PFL and BKFC both in Newcastle this weekend. Savannah Marshall making her PFL debut. Went to the finals in Dublin last year and it was good fun. I know nothing about the BKFC fighters but my god is it entertaining

Gonna be a real tough ask for the smaller clubs that have qualified for Europe. 8 league games and then if you finish between 9th and 24th you'll have to play an extra 2 qualifying legs to make it to the last 16.

They can share the load on the right and the sweet blonde prince VK can handle the left

Downside - status quo remains and we'll continue on a downwards trajectory. Plus side, fingers crossed I get to see over lapping full backs again.

Harty is the kind of player fans love, massive shame he basically missed the whole of last season. Thanoj is a good player technically and has good vision. Seemed to have lost interest last season though.

Graham’s Arsenal v Keegan’s Newcastle
filbertway replied to Aus Fox's topic in General Football and Sport
Almost every coach aspires to be George Graham these days, a coach that actually cares more about their team scoring than stopping the other team scoring is a rare jewel. I've always been of the attitude that in a perfect world if I know my team is going to finish 10th, i'd take more joy out of scoring 80 and conceding 80 than I would if my team scored 40 but only conceded 40. Obviously you ultimately want success but for me, there's nothing like the anticipation of watching a genuinely entertaining team, either as a fan or a neutral. -
Disappointing that Wilder decided he couldn't be arsed tonight, same as last fight. Hope he's done now, absolute loser Good night of fighting all round. Hutchinson and Nick Ball stepped up like champs. Zinad gave a decent account of himself 12th October will be the fight of the decade!

KInd of annoyed that he's stolen my "I told you so" moment I had lined up around Christmas Appreciate him for getting us up and I loved his attitude. Not a massive fan of his style of play, with good players it's boring to watch, with weaker players it's setting up for failure. Imagine like Potter, him and his band of merry men will fall foul of Boehly before the season is out. Do not begrudge him taking the opportunity though. 5 year contract and a huge pay rise for him and his mates. You'd be mad to turn it down.

If we've learned anything, piling the squad up with overpaid players that nobody wants always works a treat.

Soon to be 31 year old journey man Moroccan who's not played at any level close to the Premier League. Just what we need

Swear Balague officially announce this yesterday morning, why isn't it confirmed yet?

I'd definitely take Cooper, think he got a bit of a raw deal at Forest and is a good manager. That being said, I've not seen a great deal to suggest he's a possession at all costs kind of man, so I think he can be chalked off the list unless we're taking a dramatic change from our previous appointments since Ranieri.

I can hand on heart say I haven't got it in me. I'll happily travel a 6 hour round journey to watch them on a Tuesday night. I don't want to see how the pies made though. Some people are just built different.

Some familiar names in the UCL Prem and Div 1 Him and Wayne both, how they do it alongside having families and full time jobs I do not know.

Bit of positive news this evening that a few blokes who have done a lot for the club have been in talks with the FA and NWLDC over the weekend with the aim of keeping mens football at the club in the coming season. AGM coming up soon so looking to act quickly. More updates to follow in next few days, would mean dropping down several leagues and looking to make the club fan owned.

Imagine we'll go with Championship manager desperate to work in our league. Surely any self respecting manager would surely be aware of the mess we're in and wait for a better opportunity.

I'm sure Leeds can take a small amount of solace in how rattled so many of our fan base have been by them, if you think Sky are obsessed with Leeds you should see Leicester fans on social media
