I dno, maybe if they're getting hassled by the media, but I dno who's asking Vards or Ricardo about FFP. I work for a company that has been sold and merged with other companies far too much over the past 5 years, but it's barely affected me day to day as it's happening at a much higher level. Can't imagine it'll be too different to the players. I imagine they barely talk to the execs except in passing or club functions.

I actually said prioritising not conceding over scoring. Which is pretty much the plan if we take the lead in games.

Haha! I've wasted far too much of my life on here for it to be ripped away I'd say if to anyone that doesn't like reading opinions or speculation, then the non-fiction area of a library is the perfect spot to go for some reading.

And anyone with an iota of brain power can see that they're clearly incompetent if they judge the past few years as successful decision making. There's literally no point having a forum or even talking about anything if you can only talk about things you have direct control over

Did we have the same deal with Yunus as Fatawu? We must be pretty close to triggering that as well if so. The man's a complete liability once he gets in front of goal. Tidy player, but someone that could probably be improved on given his lack of physicality or goal threat. That being said, I'm fairly sure he's a winger, so for a lad being played out of position he's doing a fair job.

Probably, like every league in the world. The only difference would be that clubs futures and livelihoods wouldn't be be put at risk. Also if it makes the premier less interesting to outsiders then that's a net gain to me. Less foreign ownership probably isn't a bad thing, especially the amount of Americans coming in. Once they get the magical number of voting rights in the league, it'll quickly cease to be the game you fell in love with anyway.

Which it shouldn't be. Once people realise that maybe very average Premer League players don't need to be paid £70-80k a week and they should maybe earn 20-30k a week. We'd very quickly see teams not spending 90-100% of their income on their playing staff. Certainly feels like we're experience the bubble start to burst.

That's why it bought up memories of WBA - a team we were comfortably beating and looking like we could clock up 5 or 6 goals. Manager's livid because the opposition got in behind a couple of times and doesn't seem to care that we created a bunch of great chances. Southgate v Croatia. Kyle walker came out and took a minute to take a throw in, clearly looking to waste time. This was in the first 5 minutes of the 2nd half. Forcing your team to adopt a negative approach, despite seeing that they're superior players and are creating good clear chances can't be good confidence.

Leicester 1-0 Sunderland Post Match Thread.

It wasn't gritty though, we let a weakened team in poor form come onto us and handed them the initiative. We should have been looking to kill that game by half time, instead we beckoned them onto us and thankfully a combo of Mads and poor finishing left the game at 1-0 to us. -
I don't understand how they can be that tired, we spent the season basically play walking football most of the game and people assured me that was because we want to conserve energy throughout the season. I'm pretty sure it's just the way we play and tactical.

He had half time to get his message across though if that was the case and he wasn't visibly frustrated at the team at all. As much as I'd like to believe that was the case, there's not really any evidence to support it.

KDH is an odd one, last night he did full 180 spins on the ball multiple times because he didn't fancy his chances of making a pass with his right foot. Frustrating as he has the energy and when he ball is on his left he's often dangerous. He'll struggle to be a regular in the prem for a successful possession based team if he can't sort out that glaring weakness. Regardless though, KDH, Mavididi and Vardy were looking very dangerous in the first 15 yesterday. Then as soon as we scored there was a clear shift in approach. That's got to be on the manager, especially as nothing changed second half.

I am seeing teeny tiny red flags. I'm getting the same kind of vibe as I did from Rodgers after WBA. We were 3-0 up at half time and drew 2nd half 0-0. Post match he said he was disappointed with the first half and delighted with the 2nd because we were tighter and kept better control of the ball. If you put a premium on not conceding chances over creating them, eventually players and fans will turn on that mindset, especially when it's not working. At the minute he gets the benefit of the doubt and it's just something I'm logging mentally. If the pattern continues next season after he's had another summer to bring in his own players then it becomes a concern.

I'm glad someone else on here saw this game for what it was, it's taken 3 long years to see someone else say it. Promotion every day of the week for me, mainly as being in this division can be fun if you're good. If we stay down here this season, I think we very quickly become another Stoke.

It was never a penalty. The only shame was that the ref finally got one right and then immediately screwed up by not giving a yellow for the theatrical attempt to deceive him.

Haha that's a fair point! Coady could probably play that role somewhat competently being a former midfielder, but clearly he was wanted at CB tonight. Enzo is fairly hamstrung by the squad at the moment, I'm looking forward to us hopefully finally having a well balanced squad after this summer. The gap between out first 13 or so players and the rest of the squad is frightening and has been for a while now. Massive shame Alves and Braybrooke aren't fit right now as they'd be a shoo-in for game time.

Probably where it's handy as a gaffer to have more than one string to your bow.
