  1. For my sanity at least I hope that's the end of it . Your point makes total sense, Although it's worth noting we signed one winger on 30th July and the other right at the end of August. We mainly got through August through sheer ability on the pitch. There's not a great deal of difference between us. I'd say first XIs we edge it, but in terms of squad depth, especially attacking options you definitely have the edge. Whether you include August or not, we're 6 points apart which is nothing really at this stage. It's quite clear there's not a great deal of difference between us. We're a horribly unbalanced squad atm. Having 4 strikers and 2/3 wingers in the squad when we play 1 striker and 2 wingers isn't ideal. Unless Ipswich and Southampton find a way to plug their defence's, it's hard to see past the two of us now. However, all it takes is the form book to flip for a few weeks and all of sudden, everyone in back in the mix.
  2. Nyoni poached from us as well
  3. I can understand why the goal was disallowed, imagine it looked like Hamza got contact on the ball before falling to Daka. The yellow was absolutely laughable though.
  4. Not sure you can get much more clear and obvious than that one to be fair. It was obvious on one replay that he had interfered with play and was clearly offside.
  5. Confused as to how people don't understand that Endo is offside and interfering with play. It's one of the most clear and easy to disallow goals you'll ever see. The block wasn't a foul, but he's very clearly interfering with play in an offside position.
  6. Finally watched the extended highlights back. Lovely couple of assists by Vestergaard to be fair That lay off for Roberts goal was very tidy. Mavidi looked like our main goal threat, odd to see him come off. KDH and Pereira can feel very unfortunate not to come off that pitch with assists as well.

I don't think you're going to suddenly train a striker how to kick a football properly if he hasn't cracked it by this point in his career. Thankfully Patson brings a lot of other good attributes to the game, but his technique when hitting a shot has always been a dice roll.
  8. He's just not that good really. Much like McAteer people clung to a few highlights and exaggerated his ability. He's not remarkable in any physical attibutes and not particularly remarkable on the ball. I imagine he'll find himself forging a solid championship career, but unless we have a massive drop off (which could happen if we don't finish top 2 to be fair) then he's really surplus to requirements.
  9. It really is quite funny reading their forum. Almost exactly the same phrases being used to describe his team. "Papering over the cracks", "Bailed out", "Slow and predictable"
  10. Take that smugness about loving 8000 passes and beating teams who are worth abtou a 20th of your squad Imagine playing a team youre not miles better than every week. Where are you?
  11. There is literally nothing to worry about this season. Were so OP were going up. Get you money down on relegation next season though. I look forward to the 80%, on here telling me how class playing this way is next year 🤣. Stick to you guns please
  12. I was expecting that thread on reddit to wild outrage, has anyone that's even commenting on that reddit thread actually read it? Seems to be vast majority of people saying something along the lines of "yeah that's what managers say"
  13. Touch on the ball, not sure how they've missed that.
  14. An article that is far more eloquent than I can be when making these points. This feels like I good spot because, hopefully will cause people to pause before soaking their panties over seeing a little infographic showing Winks or Vesty have 200 touches and make 100 passes in a game https://theathletic.com/5285657/2024/02/20/football-most-misused-statistics-premier-league
  15. Lovely trip to Avely lined up this evening as we face Bishop Stortford at the 3rd time of asking (35 miles south of Bishop Stortford). Away day at Macc would be class so hopefully we can get through this one.
  16. This is my policy, especially when it came to Brendan Rodgers despite being in the 1% that saw him for the absolute fraud he was :p Should be a good game Friday. Literally no idea what to expect. Small amount of evidence we have, I feel like we'll crumble and take our first hiding of the season, but then whenever I'm confident we'll get battered we then pull out a heroic performance and win comfortably Ultimately I don't think the result will matter and it's basically a straight shoot out between yourselves and Southampton for that last spot. I think all 3 of us will pick up roughly the same amount of points for the remainder of the season, can't see anyone having a dramatic drop off. Your game against each other is going to go down as one of the legendary football league final day fixtures if you're still neck and neck.
  17. We really did not need to sign anyone in January. Wilf came out but Praet came in. Casadei went out...Akgun started getting more game time. The talent at our disposal is insane and people keep telling me that we play boring slow football to help prevent players getting tired, so the tiredness angle is really a no go.
  18. I find I always have a dip after Christmas. I'd been eating well and working out 3/4 times a week from June till December. I've now been to the gym once since mid-december and am feeling much more tired and lethargic. Whatever good habits I develop over a year always seem to go out of the window at christmas and it always knocks me off kilter for 6-8 weeks in the new year. I think the relentless darkness must be a part of it cus by the end of feb i'm usually starting to feel back at it again.
  19. Honestly, some people on here you could say "Leicester play in blue" and they'd find a way to correct you I admire your restraint on here, you often make very fair points and don't come across antagonistic at all, yet we've got a clutch of people here desperate to be offended and argumentative because you're not a Leicester fan
  20. Enzo comes across as a leader and a builder, he has trusted staff. For all I may not be on board with him tactically, his actual management skills so far appear to be top notch and well recieved. Of course, it's easy to come across as a good manager when things are going well and the majority of your staff are in good spirits, you don't truly find out what a person is like until they and their team are put under stress. So I fancy that by christmas we'll have seen Enzo under pressure and we'll start to have a good feel of the man over the next 12 months. Beale went into Sunderland under a cloud, he doesn't appear to be much of a leader and seems like a knob when the chips are down.
  21. Strikes me as someone whos clearly a good coach but just doesn't have thr skills to manage people.
  22. Can't imagine they are bothered about 1st place in the slightest tbh. They know they need to keep picking wins up to stay in the top 2, which is infinitely more important than saying you were 1st.
  23. Already answered above but I'm talking about the performance as a whole, they came out flying and made us look very ordinary, even before the red.

It's not like it needed a bruiser to score that chance. He just had to guide a free header from 5 yards out into the gaping free half of the goal. Easy enough to miss if you mistime it horrifically, but it doesn't really require any sort of skillset to score that chance. I'd back a 12th tier goalkeeper to score that chance more often than it's missed. He does seem to snatch at the ball at times, I didn't think it was possible to snatch at a header but he's managed it Overall he's definitely a net benefit to the team but his finishing can be highly frustrating and inconsistent.
  25. You're clearly becoming one of the great thinkers on the forum
