  1. Another game where the opposition get chances and just kick the ball at Mads every opportunity Shambles this.
  2. Looks like Enzo read them a bedtime story before we've gone out. Players look half asleep. Sloppy passes, indecisive on the ball. Such a disappointing sight. Was really hoping after the break we would be flying out the blocks. Hopefully we burst to life at some point.
  3. No excuses with that team. Hope Enzo has grown some balls and encourages the team to attack for a full 45 minutes. If we're on it and they don't have a supremely lucky day this should be done and dusted by half time.
  4. Not wright :p Weird night tonight, standard was quite low and the crowd was as dead as ive heard Best game of the night was the first
  5. Nothing will be done for the good of the game unfortunately - unless people without a stake in the clubs are allowed to make the decisions. The premier league clubs want to try and maximise revenue and be more popular than other leagues. So they're willing to spend more to attract better players. In reality - all we really need is spending levels to drop to a sensible level and for decisions to be made for sporting reasons rather than for the financial gains of people in the game.
  6. It's like taking performance enhancing drugs, it doesn't matter if you made the most of the advantage you gave yourself, you still get punished for breaking the rules. Just because we were sh*t onthe pitch as well as off it doesn't excuse us breaking the rules.
  7. Not kept up to date the past 24 hours, have the Prem threatened an embargo as well then?
  8. Ahh that's a shame - I much prefer having the home nations at the tournament - it just adds that little extra bit of edge. At least you can go out with their heads held high, although like you say...frustration that they didn't do the job when they had the chance. Just seen Georgia's win and celebrations, huge for them. Moments like that are what still make the game great
  9. Please tell me you're on the wind up
  10. I've just looked and Poland had 0 shots on target. Even for Ward that would have been pretty spectacular to concede in those circumstances. Didn't see the game, was it just a classic case of 2 sides so scared of losing they forgot to try and win?
  11. Superb performance tonight from Coalville. Felt like all the bits that Kingy has been trying to introduce just clicked tonight. Hopefully plenty more of them to come over the next year
  12. Pretty spot on and not contradicted himself in the slightest. Thinks the rules could be improved. - Check Leicester have broken the rules that are there and should be punished - Check. He's spot on as well, we say we want the whole process out in the open yet terrified of publishing our accounts until the very last moment. We're coming across as the footballing equivalent of a petulant toddler to be fair.
  13. Which should weaken our hand when we're trying to claim that we are paragon's of virtue.
  14. I swear Top (and Vichai in the past) have consistently said that they want the club to be self-sustaining (which should be every clubs goals) so not sure the argument fits anyway. (Assuming that by self-sustaining, they meant that we could afford to run the club without outside financing) As @Ric Flair has pointed out many times recently - if there was no limit we still wouldn't be competing as these other clubs have much more than us. Newcastle and Man City would just turn the league into another SPL. It'd also absolutely inflate the wages and transfer fees to obscene levels which we were starting to see and further detach the game from normal people. The thing that needs to change are footballers salaries and obscene transfer fees. There's plenty of money in the game. You don't need to be spunking 3/4 million a season on players that can barely play at the top level. The majority of people are looking at this completely wrong. Like we should be encouraging owners to rack up unsustainable debt against a club in the name of competition. These poor clubs though - artificially hampered by a league that gives them over a hundred million pounds a season. It's a disgrace.
  15. I'm getting a bit annoyed by this lazy "you need to spend more to compete" We should never be trying to compete in the same way as the clubs with more resources - it's just as stupid as turning up against Man City and expecting you can beat them at their own game. You need to operate intelligently and within your confines. It's not really an excuse that washes with me to be honest. We dwarfed most clubs in Europe in terms of revenue. It's too easy an excuse and really glosses over the fact that horrific decision making was made as well as a complete lack of foresight or contingency planning. - Edited to say this isn't aimed at you by the way . I'm just getting tired of reading people using it as an excuse and letting off incredibly poor management by effectively saying it was the only way they could operate.
  16. "Whatever happened to Leicester isn't bad management...it's just spending more than their revenue and under performing for 2 years" Sounds like it's been written by Rudkin.
  17. Certainly capable of it - they don't sound like they're doing well. Would be nice to get a convincing victory and performance to get our heads up for the run in. Result is important, but a good performance would really help boose morale on the pitch and in the stands.
  18. Love the pubs down King Street - shame it's a 2 mile trek from the stadium mind. All being well we should be setting a new record this season then.
  19. Ah yes, I remember us voting in favour of that
  20. Yeah they're fair points. I'm working on the assumption they were all examples of players coming from an underpriveledged background that he's worked with, and Sterling's story is obviously well documented. Raheem Sterling: the mother’s boy from Jamaica who became a man | Raheem Sterling | The Guardian Can't imagine Todd Cantwell grew up surrounded by crime and gangs or i'm sure he'd have been name dropped as well.
  21. Feels like we're on the cusp of doing an actual sunderland, so don't write that off. If we don't go up this season I don't think we'll be far off to be fair.
  22. The overall message is a pretty positive one and seems to come from a place of wanting to give people who come from under priveledged areas a chance. Can't see much wrong there. He's not questioning the character of the players, just pointing out that sports like football (and boxing) offer these youngsters that come from underprivileged areas where crime rates are high an opportunity to make something of themselves. I'd say worst case he could probably clarify his thoughts - although I don't really think it's fair to take a snippet of private conversation and pick out one comment. Unfortunately the media and now social media love that.
  23. We went down with 3 strikers who would be sought after in this league. We hired a manager that plays 1 striker. We sold 0 strikers and decided to signed another striker for 8 million. There's levels in this game and we operate way above my understanding and comprehension.
  24. I hadn't considered till now, all he's doing is just taking us to a level where he feels comfortable Working for a struggling championship side is his bread and butter
