  1. About 80% of his game is being an absolute tank. If he has that then sound, short term deal till the summer. Heavily appearance based. If not then were just filling up a squad place with a very average and potentially injury prone player
  2. Dekker to beat Cross at 2/1 is a lovely price. If they played each other 10 times, I'd expect Dekker to win 8 of them
  3. A lot of teams will naturally drop in the 2nd half, especially when you've not been playing convincingly. Unfortunately, we don't really have a squad of physical brutes or players hungry to win their battles, that really excel at the sitting in thing. However, having a midfield 2 of Bobby and Skipp was really not going to help stem the tide I think in our circumstance, you've got to play on the front foot for 90 and just try and outscore the opposition. Either that, or we set up like we have done against Liverpool and Man City in recent years and it's everyone in the box and 5 at the back. Which would be an apalling way for the team with the highest wage spend in the league to approach a game at this level. How many of our players could you slot into 18 of the other teams in this league and they'd improve that team, it must be a handful. I'm not sure how we've got to a point where we're spending so much on this squad. How Rudkin is still in position I'll never understand.
  4. Sounds like he should be, but if we lose him for any period of time then we're done for. Most of our tempo and positive forward play come through him.
  5. What it shows is that the Premier League as a whole is so much stronger than any other division in Europe. Which isn't a surprise, an average the premier league salary is 3-6x the size of salaries picked up in Italy, France, Spain and Germany
  6. Disagree, they still had 2 or 3 very good opportunities. It was a pretty equal half really and they would have still fancied their chances, especially as I assume they have somewhat competent staff who know how we react to a half time lead. We had to maintain the first half performance at the very minimum as they were always going to come out fired up.
  7. If Rudkin and Top came out with that id be livid "It may sound strange but I think it's the best time in my 10 years, where we have galvanised a group of people, elite people," he said. "We feel we share the same views and principles. The chemistry and communication at the moment is maybe the best I have seen. "Back to the pitch, maybe it's one of the worst moments in the last 10 years, but still better than where we were in the Championship."
  8. As soon as I saw him with that ridiculous little tactics board it was hard to take him seriously.
  9. Merk is on fiiiiire
  10. Yeah, they went 2 up top and pushed right up in the 2nd half. It'd be moronic to try and play out from the back in that scenario for me. What should be happening is we should be pushing up and looking to win the 2nd ball, but we were glued to our 18 yard box for some reason.
  11. Just glad Gary Neville wasn't on comms. Pretty sure the guy thinks that the keeper should just stand on the near post and leave the far post wide open If you want to see what that looks like, watch Danny Ward.
  12. Merk, Smith, Littler and Razma for me tonight.
  13. I disagree with the fitness shout, as soon as it got back to 2-2 we looked a lot more lively and players were sprinting and working for the ball again. To me it definitely looks more like a mindset or tactical thing.
  14. Other option is to pass it to a player who's man marked and risk them losing it and going one on one. Rather than thick, I'd say that's the most logical option of the two.
  15. Yeah the AI has got that wrong haha. They had roughly 55% first half and roughly 75% second half for a total of roughly 65%. WhoScored (which the AI apparently used haha) Flashscore
  16. You're gonna have to back this up with evidence Flashscore and whoscored have it 55-45 in favour of Bristol City
  17. What did he do wrong tonight? Cross/shot that just went over everyone's head, he reacted how any keeper would. Spilled a shot slightly that was smashed from 20 yards. Neither goal was on him. 2 shots from close range giftwrapped by Vestergaard. If he saves either people are calling them worldies Plenty of good saves in there as well. Its like having to read Gary Nevilles thoughts. If he can be improved on then that's fine, but the inevitable pile on is going to be unfair.
  18. Be amazed if they dont win this from here
  19. Superb defending from Vesty
  20. 2 consecutive second half's without a shot is onnnn Flashscores said we had one off target against Derby but I dont believe it
  21. Oh he came off. There goes the house. I didnt even get to use my picture i had prepared
