  1. Agree, I think maybe a game or two a season that the club make a big deal of would be great. (problem is this rabble would never think up the idea) Newcastle do a really good job of this with their Womens team (Arsenal too). Basically do two big games a season and pretty much sell out St James/The Emirates. They could do one during October half term and one during Easter. £3 tickets just like the training ground, fill the place.
  2. I actually think it's great having the games at the training ground, both for fans and players. Quite often the stand is at its 499 capacity or whatever it is, great for kids too as an entry point as there's no loud PA system or rowdy fans scaring them. Would be nice if they could maybe add a stand on the opposite side too but I guess the restrctions on planning mean we can't (hence the 499)
  3. Bristol City are still realing from when he was there. Spent an awful lot of money on players who had one/two standout seasons, gave them massive contracts (both wage and length). Shit or bust strategy from when he joined, never actually put a squad together capable of getting promoted. Nige called him out a few times when he was there (unsurprisingly) but essentially Nige did the rescue opporation with free transfers and youth team players as the money had run out when he arrived! 14 million spent in his first season (bear in mind that was 2016 in the Championship) 14 million in season two. Including £6m on an unknown striker and £5m for a crocked Nathan Baker Third season is interesting, cashed in on BDCR, Aden Flint and Joe Bryan. Tried to replace Reid with two strikers from lower leagues who had breakout seasons, both flopped. Fourth season, fair play he gets 4x value on Adam Webster from the season before, also Lloyd Kelly and Josh Brownhill go for decent money. But this is where the real problems start in terms of the reinvestment. He spent £9m each on Tomas Kalas and Han Noah Massengo. Both spent a great deal of time out through injury and both left for free a few years later!! Also a few others in there around the £2m mark each who came and went pretty quickly. In his final season he wasn't allowed to spend a penny but brought it Chris Martin, Henri Lansbury and Chris Brunt on big wages. Bristol City fans couldn't believe it when he got the Ipswich gig, essentially he is mates with the owner there. He's gone for the same strategy as above, but he's lucked out by hiring a manager who will be a generational talent in this country. As others have said, take McKenna out the picture and this goes downhill fast.
  4. Sadly barely any SPL TV coverage on Sky this year, will deffo keep an eye out for the odd stream. They have a cup game against Rangers at the end of September on Premier Sport. Their only scheduled Sky game is the Dundee derby in January.
  5. The list being "Signed to Wasserman or CAA base and available"
  6. I've seen quite a few clubs using MIHP lately to be fair, just assumed that's what Tav meant by Manchester for medical tests.
  7. Wonder why he is doing the medical at MIHP and not with us? Guess clubs just outsource more these days!
  8. Top flying in tomorrow morning, so he'll be here for deadline day carnage and whatever fallout on Saturday
  9. Mark Ashton special. Well on his way to ruining another club
  10. Stand down... it's a medical jet... unless we've crocked him already
  11. There's a Jet landing at EMA at 9:50 from Liege which is the closest airport to Genk
  12. Announcement video: Videographer walks up steps of West Stand.... zooms in on Adel in the East Stand who shouts "Hello from the other sideeeeee" You're welcome.
  13. Get back to twitter, you might miss something arguing with the mirror
  14. I don't think you're grasping that i'm agreeing with you
  15. We've gone back and offered more cash up front and a bigger chunk of a... lets say £70m future deal.
  16. 21 + 6 and 10% was requested. We've sent 23 + 2 and 15% I guess that's getting accepted given it's likely better than what they asked for in both the long and short run
  17. Hello Sweet Prince
