I don't disagree on that at all, just taking this one in isolation. We're a mess 100%, but they do appear to at least be trying to retreive us from the gutter with a few signings. Very few prem teams are ready for their first game. United will line up with Maguire and Evans in defence on Friday night because they only just got De Ligt in. Also it could be worse... we could be 3 games in and having this conversation on deadline day

I agree on a lot of your frustrations, I really do. But whose to say he was available 3 months ago? Leverkusen will have been waiting to see how he did at the Euros, and then waiting to give him minutes in pre season.... and then waiting to perhaps get others in who would be better for them than Hlozek. Be a bit like someone at Sheffield United moaning that they didn't sign Cannon on loan two months ago, when in reality he'll only be available once we get Hlozek in.... You think it's a coincidence they got Terrier in last week and then Hlozek became a target?

I imagine the main reason it's taken longer is that it's gone from a loan to loan with obligation. Hlozek doesn't just have to think "find me a flat to stay in" this could easily be the next 5 years of his life in a country he's never lived in. I guess they're just going through all the player liason stuff and making sure he's happy with the obligation side of the deal.
