He’s always good on TV, very natural, no real signs of media training you often get from current players. Nice to be reminded of his stats. I think he struggled a bit with the question on our downfall there, looked like he wanted to say something but palmed it off slightly onto fan expectation.

The football comparison is a good one, in the same way I’d say it works better at home. The boundaries in the first game and to some extent the second almost completely nullify its power. Some of the equivalent distances you’d be hitting a six at Trent bridge into the back of the net at the city ground Ive gone the long way round, but essentially we need a back up idea for different circumstances!!

Only Weston on there who you'd consider to be a shock to be in the 3rd round. I know people moan about the magic of the cup being lost because Prem/Champ teams rotate squads... but something has clearly happened in the earlier rounds too that is affecting semi pro sides.
