Quite. Not sure I'd call it 'rattled' but it's definitely small time. A sobering thought for our excitable woodland dweller - during their extended gap year we have won the league cup, won the league cup again, won two championship titles plus a league one title, made the QFs of the Champion's League, two top 5 finishes, won the FA Cup, won the Charity shield and won the Premier League title. Forest have one good silverware-free year and they're straight over here thinking that they have the bragging rights

Yes, I know. 23 years wasn't it? I'd forgotten what a Notts Forest was. Anyway, just making the point that in all of that time, none of your kind thought to darken our doorstep. Until now. A hint of a sliver of success and we're tripping over them. Bless! Amuses me that's all.

Sounds like a Smiths song.

Agreed. Can't we just declare now?
-
We don't need to imagine that. We've lived it. And yes, I'm still bitter.

I quickly stifled a smirk when I realised we've had no points at all since the end of Feb.

Always makes me smile when another Forest visitor comes blinking into the daylight after hibernation. Where have you been all these years?

What happened to the mindset of our players.

I think they have been demoralised, beaten and crushed and possibly suffering ptsd, which is why, unlike many, I want our new generation of kids nowhere near this team this year. Many of this team had question marks over their mentality in the first place but now I think they have accepted our fate and are going through the motions. Perhaps they start a match fired up but as soon as that first goal against goes in that familiar capitulation follows. I do get the impression that some players absolve themselves from the clown show. For instance, I think that Wout would be privately thinking to himself that it's everybody else's fault and Jannick will be thinking we'd be fine if only we had ten more players as good as he is, despite those two being absolutely emblematic of this broken team. -
Not like Ruud then. Ruud's a serial no-pointer. Wouldn't know a point if he tripped over one.

Can somebody please explain where the 'I blame Wellens' thing actually comes from?

When did this place become Forest Talk? Sick of hearing about them

These straws you're clutching, was there a line or two of cocaine at the end of them?

What do the players say in the pre-match huddle?

"The wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round, round and round..." -
I think that the really galling thing about this signing was that practically everyone who commented, as I recall, said this at the time. It was obvious. The only people that couldn't see it were the ones that mattered, Cooper and Rudkin.

If that team played our regular starting XI, both teams would somehow find a way to lose.

You're welcome.

What a waste of money. If you feel like donating your hard earned donate it where it can make a difference and do some good.

Playing the kids alongside Faes & Co and exposing them to this kind of trauma could be potentially harmful to their development. Keep them for the rebuild next year.

Most culpable player for our relegation after Ward. Doesn't matter if he cost a fiver, a player cannot be called a bargain if he isn't good enough.

Two words - Derby and Southampton. Incredibly we are not the worst over the course of a full season, but I suspect at this moment in time we have become even worse than the sheep were. But in terms of infinite universes, rather than the idea that every possibility that could happen must happen, couldn't the same thing just happen an infinite amount of times?

I don't think Sir Geoffrey would be much better. Although he does know a thing or two about defence.

Many of Enzo's critics said that almost anybody could get that squad promoted. I think they were largely right. That is not intended to denigrate Enzo's achievement but I think that the squad was just too strong for the division.
-
I think it could be damaging for their development to be thrown into a dysfunctional and demoralised team in a toxic atmosphere. Better to keep our powder dry for the rebuild in The Championship next year.
