Newcastle United have set an initial budget of £200M for our new training ground project, according to Newcastle World. To put that into some context Leicester City’s new complex, completed in 2020, cost £100m. The club have so far pumped around £10m revamping the club’s current training base in Benton, knowing it has no long term future. This new training ground will be the best in the entire Premier League, which is seen as essential to push us into the upper echelons of not only domestic, but world football too! It’s understood the new facility will not only house the Newcastle United first-team, but will also have built-in, separate academy and women’s team facilities. The centre piece of the facility will have a purpose-built mini stadium, where junior, youth, women’s and first-team, behind-closed-doors games can be held. Impressive! The same article believes that physical work on the stadium redevelopment or new build won't start until 2027. PIF are showing in these two mega projects though they stand by their long-term commitment to the Newcastle United project. An official announcement on club infrastructure has been tightly guarded, but is expected soon. Wowzer!

Leicester City Football Club today announces two new issues of shares to King Power International and Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, relieving the Club of a combined total of £124m of debt to its parent company and owner. The share allotments, filed with Companies House this week, capitalise previous loans from KPI and Khun Top which have supported the Club’s recent development. The move strengthens the Club’s balance sheet, reduces interest costs and relieves the Club of all remaining shareholder loans. This latest debt-to-equity conversion takes the Srivaddhanaprabha family’s overall investment during its ownership of Leicester City to over £420m. The Club remains grateful for the family’s unwavering support and for the long-term security they continue to provide.

Born in Wolverhampton on April 21, 1926, Rowley became the all-time top scorer in English league football, with 434 goals from 619 league appearances. His career included remarkable stints at Leicester City and Shrewsbury Town, where he set club records for most goals in a season and overall career goals. Rowley scored 44 goals in 1956–57 for Leicester and 38 goals in 1958–59 for Shrewsbury, solidifying his place as a football legend. In addition to his footballing achievements, Rowley was also a cricketer, representing Shropshire in the Minor Counties Championship. After retiring as a player, he transitioned into management, leading Shrewsbury Town and briefly managing Sheffield United and Southend United. Rowley's legacy as a record-breaking striker and his contributions to both football and cricket continue to be remembered.

Maybe but the difference is Kasper is new there and somewhat beholden to Rodgers for signing him. At LCFC Kasper was fully integrated into the 'Family' and had been very close to the 'Boss' and been a major influence on them.

I suspect that Rodgers ego clashed with Kasper's who we know was all very opinionated and Rodgers couldn't cope with it so one had to go Rudkin chose Kasper.
