Such an embarrassing hot take I don't know where to begin. We had an amazing 10 years because the stars aligned between good ownership, good management AND good players. Clubs like ours don't win the PL without all areas working in harmony. Trying to discredit the owners and writing them out of our amazing story from the last decade is utterly moronic. Also, by that logic, you agree that the players on the pitch are solely responsible for the position we currently find ourselves in? Yeah, thought not.

was taking a dig at miserable ft posters myself but it flew right over you. inevitably every time there is a giveaway from the owners there is someone on here moaning that we have no money but give away mince pies / beers, etc - hence the meme. i'm about as vocal supporter of our owner as they come - one of the few who directly called out the posters pissing their knickers a few weeks back because Top was 'running our club into the ground and destroying his father's legacy'.

tbh, i'm not remotely interested in this world cup and im not overly bothered if maddison gets game time or not. I have very little opinion on southgate as international football isn't of much concern to me. I have no horse in the race. I just find it fascinating that everything is some sort of big conspiracy on here. too many men getting their knickers in a twist over pure conjecture. we see it time and time again. rodgers is purposely losing games to get sacked, southgate is taking players to a world cup because of media pressure, etc. all with zero actual evidence - just pie in the sky stuff. way of the world though, everyone's 2 seconds away from raging about something that they've made up in their head whilst completely ignoring, generally what is far more sensible narrative.

criticizing the board is one thing, but some of the dog shit aimed at Top was utterly embarrassing - especially the personal stuff - along the lines of 'embarrassing his father's legacy', etc. still, glad to see his judgement of character is better than some on here - I guess that's why he's a rich, highly respected and decorated businessman and guys on here are just guys with too much time to spout vitriol behind a keyboard.

if we were in the top 7 clear by 4 points they'd be saying it's only 4 points ahead. we're 4 points behind and there is absolutely NO WAY we're catching up 4 points over the next 23 games ffs i have myself down as a pretty glass half empty kinda guy but I can't imagine waking up in the mindset of some of the posters on FT i'd be off down b&q for a length of rope asap

this is why I have zero interest in patriotism - overt nationalism has been used to drive this kind of nonsense in the media / papers, etc. over the last few decades, getting progressively worse in the last decade, imo. People's failure to see and understand that all the different cultures and ethnicities we have here actually make it a better country, drive diversity, increase our choice of cultures to experience; their food, faith, traditions, etc. would put money on the poster having experienced this through simple things like dining choices (unless of course ONLY eats sunday roasts, maybe?), most likely been looked after in a health situation by someone of a different nationality - hell, I'd imagine he's jumped up and down when our LCFC players of different nationalities have scored goals for us every weekend - yet we go bleating on about how having people here from different countries is somehow whittling away our once great identity - can someone please fill me in on what that identity is? is that the identity where we had soldiers of all different ethnicities fight with ours during the world wars? the identity where we're had people from different cultures live here for over a century? just don't get it. at a total loss as to why people repeat this rubbish.
