  1. genuinely unsure if I can be arsed driving down on a Friday night when it's a ~5 hour round trip, but if I decide to it's because it's one last chance to give these bastards both barrels.
  2. you assume they can get another move and have a career left. Vestegaard is done, this is his last big money contract and he's not gonna give it up.
  3. announcing it the day before we suffer the worst relegation in our history, without any firm details beyond the date, is cynical in the extreme. They're not doing this to mark the anniversary, they're doing it to distract. All the wrong reasons from a club who hold fans in pure contempt
  4. and this is why I don't really buy into any ideas of a chance to reset this summer. The ones we want rid of aren't going to get a move to a PL club where they think they are, and no ****er is going to give them the wages we do. The only way they move like that, still taking a decent pay cut, is if we agree to pay the difference between their new club wage and their current wage to when their contract would be up with us, and we simply can't afford to be subsiding other clubs wage bills. It's going to be a several year job to reset even if the new technical director is any good and doesn't sign a whole new load of tripe on wages they don't deserve
  5. it really isn't. There is a degree of the devil you know (I think I'd rather we continue with this ownership than sell our souls to sportswash human rights abuses in the middle east like Newcastle have done) but we have got genuinely big name recognition from the last 10 years. We've got a huge catchment area for fans as the only professional club in the entire county, elite level facilities (shame about the people staffing and using them). We are an appealing purchase for anyone wanting to own a football club if only Aiyawatt would let go. I get why he doesn't but eventually it will be taken out of his hands, and we should find a buyer very easily
  6. Not sure how that's a defence. It's also against his religion to gamble and yet he wears the bookie sponsor and has done for years. Basically noone is proper strict about their religion nowadays
  7. if you're being pedantic we're currently in division 2.
  8. yea, play the lot of them, let them get the abuse then never play them again. Let them take the relegation and then play the kids for millwall and Blackburn
  9. too late. If he'd done it in 2023 post the first relegation, much as that was obviously coming from the summer before and was completely avoidable, I'd stand an argument that he was learning from his mistakes. He can't still not see that Rudkin is a mistake, he's stubbornly backing him and there's no reason to believe that he'd be sacking Rudkin for the right reasons with a plan for afterwards
  10. done. Need as many as possible to fill it in, get rid of the idea that those of us calling for change are just a noisy minority not representative of the fanbase as a whole. Easy to say when it's 100 turning up for a protest, far harder when it's 5-10k speaking through a supporters organisation
  11. Skipping this, going to Millwall and Blackburn to abuse them, but I'd love to see these bastards relegated in front of an empty ground
  12. one year closer to the heat death of the universe, at which point Jon Rudkin and Aiyawatt will finally leave
  13. I mean, we didn't even throw the keeper up for a free kick with 30 seconds to go and absolutely needing a goal... He's got no urgency about him, you could watch this lack of effort and assume we were in 12th going nowhere and just counting down the minutes to the end of the season, rather than in a desperate need for points to survive
  14. if you carried on reading you'd see the words Needs [...] a new keeper, but as things are he's the only keeper at the club not old enough to remember the destruction of Carthage
  15. genuinely, bomb out as many of the senior players as possible and start with a core of: Stolarcyk; Aluko, Nelson, Gray, Thomas; Braybrooke, Cartwright, Page; Evans, Hutchinson, Alves. Needs supplementing with some senior pros (emphasis on professionals), like last league one campaign with Berner and Powell, and a new keeper and left back, but I would back that team to beat the current first team tbh
  16. after Sven, before Pearson came in. in shorts on the touchline like a willy puller (1:56)
  17. Aiyawatt might turn up if there's no one there to say mean things about him.
  18. serious club would have sold him 5 years ago rather than trying to nickel and dime Bruce era Newcastle. Serious club wouldn't have him as vice captain. Being a completely unserious club I expect he'll be captain next season
  19. it'll be the same line up as today, maybe choudhury out for Skipp, maybe Daka out for Ayew. The jig is up and we're still acting like it's August. Hull will canter to a win and the flask army will blindly applaud it off because they're part of the problem
  20. league two beckons tbh. Hopefully then the flask army will **** off down the tigers
  21. sack the ****
  22. Portsmouth obviously
  23. genuinely believe he just pre-plans subs, because none of them make sense or are done at the right time
  24. as if we'll send him forward
  25. just terminate all their ****ing contracts for gross misconduct. Put that effort we do challenging the league in court into making sure they go penniless
