  1. so we'd look like a basket case sacking now but not sacking if we stay up. and if we do stay up and keep him, what does building look like? replacing more of our squad with bottom half cloggers after one last paycheck to block youth progression? no thanks, I don't want to see Braybrooke and Alves go elsewhere for first team football because we've filled the squad with James Mc-****ing-Arthur and Harry Arters
  2. christ this is utter shite. against the worst defence in the league and we had the fewest shots on target of any team
  3. yea, because if he played it'd make it obvious that Ayew and BDCR were completely pointless signings, because we've already got a young winger who can perform the role they do. maybe then we wouldn't also have binned off the 147 game run (dating back to December 2020, a 2-1 win over Sheff Utd where Barnes was rested) of having an academy graduate on the pitch
  4. probably because he's Czech
  5. have you not looked at r/lcfc? it's a happy clappy shit tip
  6. They won't. This place, facebook and twitter are pretty heavily anti him, Reddit is heavily pro him, the fans in the ground are barely making any noise. I can see it coming if he makes more subs like Mavididis on saturday (first time in a while I've heard the ground pretty much unanimously boo a sub) but the board aren't really gonna be swayed by social media either way.
  7. get it done now, give ourselves a week to sort out with someone to be in for the Bournemouth game. the idea that "you've got to give him time before sacking" is a fallacy. a sacking that's justified at x+1 games is justified at x games. waiting to hit a magic number of games played is just time wasting
  8. so then the question is will we ever see that starting line up under Cooper? and the answer is not unless BDCR and Ayew both get crocked long term
  9. cool, glad that our cheaping out in the summer is going to keep up those ****ing melts again
  10. yep. Cooper is just an Allardyce for the TikTok generation. he's the manager you appoint when you're out of ideas and just on the new clogger every October train
  11. oh hey, that sounds very familiar. remember not sacking Rodgers two weeks earlier at the start of an international break?
  12. the tribute at Cardiff v Leeds was nice. only the now sacked Cardiff boss didn't join in
  13. just to really belabour the point: https://fbref.com/en/stathead/player_comparison.cgi?request=1&sum=0&dom_lg=1&player_id1=da052c14&player_id2=bceda5ff on a per 90 basis, Fatawu makes more tackles, wins a higher proportion of attempted tackles and wins more of his aerial duels as well. there is not a metric on which you'd rather have Ayew. Fatawu is better in the air, better defensively, better at shot creating actions. best you can say is Ayew gets fouled more and gets more of his shots on target. but he doesn't score at a higher rate. he's absolute guff
  14. put your resignation in please John.
  15. if cooper is his own boss it would explain a lot about the state of the club tbh
  16. Saka and Martinelli vs VK and JJ is going to be a nightmare.
  17. imagine having a bloke sent off for a second yellow for kicking the ball away two games earlier and doing it again ****ing clowns, no sympathy
  18. what a strike. Not sure what Man City are winging about.
  19. Mace disallowed for offside. Rose is looking good, hopefully less managing of minutes now it's been a year since her ACL injury comeback started?
  20. Keeps him out of trouble, and away from another bunch of schoolkids.
  21. lovely finish, rantala picking up where she left off
  22. no more FA player at least, it's all on youtube now.
  23. don't think you need to play much football manager to know that when facing a full back who is drawing his pension and gets more red cards than successful tackles, you play an electric winger who ties full backs in knots and not another pensioner already proven to not be good enough for this division.
  24. So that'll be: Kop Bott - Howard - Thibaud - Cayman Tierney - Mace - Momiki Rantala - Mouchon - Goodwin at a guess.
  25. 9 league games, 12 total with the cup. Assuming we beat Walsall would take Cooper up to the next round of the cup (week after Forest at home).
