  1. a qualifying group of Benin, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Lesotho and Nigeria probably helped. Only Nigeria of those aren't consistently dogshit
  2. "we get out of the group next tournament"
  3. we didn't play any sort of possession based football under Cooper. Hard to say we played football at all under RvN. Be serious, what you actually are objecting to is not "possession football", because that's a wide reaching umbrella that covers pretty much all football besides the likes of catenaccio. There are a lot of ways to play with possession. What you actually mean is sterile "suffocate the game" football.
  4. 17 years ago, bit rich to talk about others living in the past. Possession football is also a very very wide branching description, it is not all "suicide football".
  5. obviously not going to be this squad next season though? good chunk out of contract, others are no reasonable bids refused, and yet more looking to force their way out. style meshing with squad isn't really a concern when we're going to have to do a full rebuild this summer
  6. he left Southampton utterly hated just 18 months ago, he's not stupid enough to think they'll take him back
  7. this is it, you'll have a lot of possession if you are better than other teams - Given Aiyawatt has no thoughts beyond "man city are successful, play like them", while they have possession they also quite frequently paste teams, because the point of possession is a means to an end, they keep the ball and keep it moving to open up defences. Martin doesn't use possession as a means to an end, it is the end to him
  8. ok but there are different ways to have possession. Martin is the much maligned style where possession is the end goal, rather than a means to an end. A better point would be quick Vs slow football - you can play quick football in a draw them out then back to front like lightning (the classic counter attack), or you can play quick football with a lot of possession, it always moving and always probing. People want that, not the slow ponderous shit that is Brussball
  9. no-one actively wants us to go into administration. The point is that administration is inevitable unless these twats who run the club suddenly develop a competence for running a club that they haven't shown any signs of in nearly a decade. On that basis, those jobs will be lost either way, does it matter if it's done now or in 12-18 months
  10. cannot wait for the inevitable radio Leicester phone in calling fans entitled after booing an opening day 4-0 defeat at home to Bromley. utterly rancid appointment.
  11. it's not, but also you can see a lot that they've taken from hitman and tweaked slightly. definitely rebalanced more towards combat than stealth, in hitman the combat is very very clunky, this feels pretty smooth. It's a distinct game rather than Agent 0047 but if you've played a lot of hitman this will feel familiar at least
  12. yea, it's built around mission replay for different challenges and the tacsim mode for longevity rather than the story, but the gameplay is good.
  13. nah not having that. He always put his all onto the pitch and it's not his fault that our strategic squad building paid 23m for him and put him on a ton, then refused to try and recoup anything on him. Not even close to the bloke who trundled round with a face like a man chewing a wasp, acting like he was doing us a favour by putting on his boots
  14. truly fascinated by the ~3% of people who think Rudkin is doing an excellent job with very good player recruitment.
  15. Less humiditiy and more infrastructure tbh. This country is built for 12C overcast, because until recently that was pretty much all you get. The UK has not kept up with increasing temperatures and these sorts of heatwaves lay it bare.
  16. Mice rather than humans but there is some evidence to suggest that Cetirizine can reduce sperm count: https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Esraa-Ahmed-8/publication/333519232_The_potential_impact_of_1st_and_2nd_generation_antihistamines_on_male_fertility/links/5e7fc42192851caef4a8e743/The-potential-impact-of-1st-and-2nd-generation-antihistamines-on-male-fertility.pdf
  17. Tight fisted for the sake of it. While yes, they did comply with financial rules, focusing purely on saving the pennies by paying nothing on wages and transfers, at the expense of the pounds from being in the prem (he got them relegated twice) is its own form of financial stupidity. It's like quitting a 6 figure job for a minimum wage one because your commute would be £4 cheaper per week.
  18. Should start booking players if they do that. Porro clearly trying to stop an Everton attack by faking an injury
  19. Had to just chip it over Kinsky there
  20. "moving fast" yea he's definitely making that up, Aiyawatt and Rudkin have turned their out of office on for the summer and won't be back until 1st July
  21. gentle pea roller clearly telegraphed to the keepers left?
  22. and this one is 100% because he couldn't be arsed to do the bare minimum. The wages for one Winks would buy you a side capable of qualifying for Europe, it's not a game that needs huge investment. but, Aiyawatt couldn't even be bothered to take it seriously enough to build on being in the division for 5 years, and left an interim coach who was never good enough in charge for far too long. Common theme and idiots will still pretend there's a future for this club with him here.
  23. is that a first shot on target this half? just woeful
  24. assume Rantala is still struggling with injury because she's one of the few not awful players we've got, and EvE has been a disappointment
  25. same reason we didn't get a points deduction for going into administration in 2002. Wasn't against any rules then
