  1. it's why Aiyawatt needs to go as well, not just his butler in the DoF role. He's too concerned with being mates with the players to do what needs to be done. Like, you go to a work do, you might see the CEO, maybe even have a drink with them, but it's a professional relationship, outside of that work related setting you're not friends, and thats how it should be.
  2. honestly don't care. I've voted no, just because if he goes it's another excuse deflecting away from the real problem of the nepo baby and his butler having control of the club, but wouldn't be sad to see him go.
  3. See this is why i said sarcastic...
  4. defence needs major surgery? No, lets spend 8m on a pensioner who's only skill is in falling over.
  5. Or maybe don't make every single post a sarcastic complaint about not playing route one football.
  6. take a day off for Christ's sake, we get it, you don't like teams attempting to keep possession
  7. god I hope Ayew just elbowed Garner in the face so we don't have to see him play for a few weeks
  8. look, I know your wife keeps telling you that, but it's not actually that applicable to keeping, hence why Lev Yashin is one of the greatest of all time and Zjelko Kalac is a comedy figure, despite Kalac being a full half a foot taller.
  9. he's 6ft 2, the same height as Lev Yashin, Oliver Kahn, Ter Stegen, Oblak, Ederson, taller than Iker Casillas. Height is not as important as you think it is.
  10. Matt takes every opportunity to mock the idea that being able to pass a ball is a good thing, pretty obvious hes suggesting that anyone who says that having the ball is useful actually thinks scoring by anything other than a 60 pass move is a disgrace
  11. if you don't laugh you'll cry, offside but what the **** was that defending
  12. Ayew and BDCR as wingers **** me, fans should sue Cooper for emotional distress for lumbering us with them.
  13. BEk does a great deal of the hard work, Ayew just clips it randomly into the air. ****ing donkey.
  14. So, we've got a chance for a two v two, vardy immediately turns it back and we're conceding a corner within 10 seconds. Why are we playing like we're two up and coasting?
  15. so, two days left in the window to get a cb who knows how to defend. Just a shame rudkin is taking a long weekend away instead...
  16. and the other 13 teams? all well and good that the big six don't change for anyone, but that's a maximum of 36 possible points and you're not getting all 36 (we took 16 in 15/16)
  17. it did work for the first couple of years under Rodgers but note how the further we've got from Puel, the more incoherent we've got, as with when we got rid of Pearson. It worked briefly but then started to decline, because it's taken time to undo what they put in place.
  18. the model is set by the manager is the issue, hence why we grew under Pearson, briefly peaked under Claudio then started to decline until Puel came in, rebuilt. Rodgers then peaked again off the back of puels work before declining again. Our transfer strategy is entirely defined by the manager and there's not philosophical coherence between managerial appointments. Brighton and Brentford have models set by chairmen who aren't incompetent nepo babies, carried out by people who are actually qualified to do it. case in point, they wouldn't go from an Enzo type manager to Steve Cooper because they actually have a model that coaches are slotted in to rather than defined by the coaches.
  19. ok, so you think then that after the title win we should have just decided that 38 points was fine, and we shouldn't try to evolve our style to attempt to beat teams that feared us?
  20. but the point is ultimately that Brighton have a competent structure above the manager, we don't. Doing a Leicester is having your entire strategy changing from manager to manager because a jumped up youth team coach is in charge of footballing affairs. Brighton will likely sit around mid table for a good long while, same as Brentford, because both have a strong set up and a clear plan as a club, rather than tearing everything up every time they change manager.
  21. so, how exactly do you counter attack against teams that respect/fear you and sit back? to counter attack your opponents have to attack first, clues in the name.
  22. id absolutely love Forest to be our relegation rivals but I don't think they're going down this season
  23. well yes but you've rather completely missed the point. we're weak on the right because we have a single player playing two positions without any support due to a liability of a winger in front of him
  24. the idea that Ayew helps his full back is the biggest myth going, he's never in position to help the full back out and doesn't have the effort or ability to get back and help out. It's honestly a big part of why we concede so much down the right, because JJ is so often over exposed due to being sent forward and not having a winger who'll try to get back and support.
  25. not clear, Willie Kirk was before he got his dick out, not sure who replaced him
