The difficulty is the performances in the relegation season are in the fore of everyobes mind (which I am not sure Van Nistleroy fully appreciates.) Its not a keeper having a couple of poor ganes and Danny Ward was given a lot of patients in that relegation season. Peoples tollerance for him has gone. People are booing- rightly or wrongly because they don't want to wait another half season with Danny Ward potentially playing any part. It does beg the question of how Iverson trains as Ruud must have surely been told that Danny was dropped to 3rd/4th choice over the last few years.

The PSR need to be scrapped. They are awful, and outside a vested interest in Leicester who have they actually benefited? I agree with the poster earlier that said a bond should be placed instead to ensure a club's safety. Maybe proportional to contract value of the players to stop Chelsea offering everyone career length contracts!

If we had stayed up we would have had a points deduction but the Premier league income etc. As we got relegated we managed to avoid the points deduction.

The decision to extend the accounts by a month was a master stroke! It is no wonder they and the EFL were after us so badly last season! 😅 I love how deliberate it was!!! 😅

I think you have some valid points. I think we need to stumble upon a combination that works, but I feel there is one within the squad that could be effective. I do however feel that we need someone we are not expecting to 'arrive' if we are going to make a fist of it. My feeling is, if we can find a way to survive this year, we will have stabilised after the FFP issues which are so badly affecting us at the minute. For me I feel survival is a big ask, however I think with the a slice of luck we might just do it.

Riyad was an absolute genius and didn't get half the credit he deserved in English football. I have said it before, but for a few seasons I would have paid the season ticket fee to watch him play alone, and that's without everything else that happened! An incredible player, and when he finishes I hope he can come back to recurve the adolation his talent deserves. (Its also nice he talks about us fondly now.)

To be honest, I am far happier that we have owners that ultimately want to make us self-reliant. There are so many examples (us being one) of the fall.out from over stretching. Also if they ever decide to walk away, with self-reliance and sustained growth, we will have a much better football club than they first started with. I am very pleased with how we are run.
