  1. I am not sure I agree that Okoli had an awful second half. They got behind him a few times because of mistakes in front of him? Ricardo I can't think of any real mistakes. Nelson is young, he got moved around for their first goal by a strong and experiences striker. But that is going to happen at his age, as long as he learns. Luke Thomas needs taking out now and lots of work doing on his strength and positioning because its like a lamb to the slaughter each week now! Again thats just my take on things.
  2. The youth players coming through really is this seasons saviour. Just hope we can keep them developing and put some more investment in when we move some of the big earners on so supplement them.
  3. I think he needs taking out of the team and they need to focus on changing his shape and building him up. He clearly cares as he is a leiceater lad, but he hasn't got the stature for this level at the minute.
  4. Maybe a llittle harsh? He won almost everything first half. Second half the striker seemed tp get beyond him alot more, mostly die to a mostake in an earlier passage of play (e.g Nelson not heading the ball and letting it bounce). Personally Okali and Nelson are my prefered centre backs. Ricardo is ok and we need to replace Thomas. Any way its all opinions I suppose.
  5. Mavididi is the ine player that always seems to get in on goal consistently. All our other goals seem to be screamers!!
  6. A young keeper is going to make mistakes. It didn't cost us today. Move on, help.him learn and hopefully have found our keeper for the next 10 years.
  7. Thats really interesting. I didn't realise that about silko thomas. Still a great achievement. 😊
  8. Did we end with 7 out of 11 players from our academy? Dies anyone know the most we have ever had?
  9. He needs to change the style with the players we have as its not working. Its been a bit of a pousened chalic for him so far. Late appointment, lots of players out. Few signings. But he can see its not working and needs to change how we play. I am not one for managerial changes, but if he can't see that we need someone who can.
  10. I would love Pearson part 3!
  11. Stolarchyk (if fit). Thomas Okoli Nelson Ricky P James Winks Fatawu Mavididi Monga Carranza
  12. I hope mavididi starts, he seems like one of the few that regularly gets into goal scoring positions (although at the minute he keeps missing!). I would drop vestagard, as I know he has his probing passes that managers seem to like, however we look inept in attack so it is seemingly not working. I would start okoli and Nelson, as they at least have the potential to develop further.
  13. Miss read! A great potential team though, I wonder who will come through.
  14. He is the only one who seems to get into goal scoring positions regularly. All our other goals seem to have to be worldie shots! Needs to finish the chance(s) yesterday and the other week. However he is by far the worst problem we have up top (imo).
  15. I really don't think we quite realise how lucky we were with this signing. That is not a dig, I almost forget myself how important Schmeichel was to us. An incredible keeper, but also just the type of personality that helped us grow into title winners. There were many legends in that title winning team, but Kasper must be up there with Vardy. I hope he comes back as a coach one day like Kingy. 😊
  16. He looks happier and like he cares. Hopefully the mistakes will be kept to a minimal, because take out those mistakes and he is a real asset to us.
  17. From memory it wasn't mentioned in commentary that he could have done better for the goal. Maybe an oversight, but a suggestion that the neutral didn't see it that way. Personally, I am not sure how much more he could have done. It would have been an insane save if he had got to the corner. Hard for him to predict as well, as yhe sequence in front of him would be very difficult to predict.
  18. I must also say, I am starting to really enjoy football again. I can't put my finger on why, but it feels like we are actually trying to build something again with Marti, not just survive.
  19. I also don't buy all this West Brom could have had three or four. We outplayed them in terms of the general game for 80 minutes, and like Led Hendrie and the other ex-proffesionals were saying, West Brom defended masterfully and full credit to them. They scored on the counter and defended like lions. We need to be more assertive attack. Where West Brom got there chances, is where we opened up the game and went for it in the last 15 minutes, yes they should have scored but they didn't and ultimately we took the gamble and did. Fortune favours the brave. Mason also seemed slightly delusional, ranting about how they should have won all the last 3 games! Very odd behaviour imo.
  20. I am really happy at where we are at this point in the season. We had a very turbulent and disrupted summer, however every team we have faced so far I have felt we are ultimately as good if not better than. I am hopeful in the coming weeks, now the squad is settling, that we will click and be in a good place to push in. My only gripe is I want more minutes for our youth players, as long term I feel this could set us apart as a club.
  21. He needs to okay games and learn. Very young for a GK but I am happy we are going down the develop youth route. My only issue over the last few games is that we have taken out some of the youth players (LP and others that have made the bench). If they had all been given minutes I would be totally happy at where we are.
  22. 2 clean sheets in a row and a partnership forming. Defensive partnerships take time, but he has the attributes needed. Also has a great attitude and this cannot be understated in my opinion. A really enjoyed them all giving everything last night and a happy that he is given some time to cement his place.
  23. I was really pleased with everyone last night. It really felt like they were all up.for it and I don't remember at any point thinking the effort was lacking from any of them. Even Daka when he came on (who can frustrate me) did what was needed and harassed the brum defence as they were pushing to equalise. I just hope this is the type.of team we have this season, an emphasis on youth and everyone working 120% throughout. Really positive result and performance with lots of room to.i.provw especially with the youth players we have. 😊
  24. My view is we have what might be a once in a generation opportunity with some of the young players coming through. My view is that the only environment conductive to them being successful is a positive environment where they are able to.make mistakes and develop. It looks like we are unlikely to buy anyone and are going into the season with what looks like on paper a young squad. My observations are that a number of people seem intent on protesting/showing their displeasure at any opportunity, which is of course their perogative. It seems that they will only be happy once KP/Top are gone. My opinion is that it seems like a very dangerous approach, affively damaging your football club so that you can get a change of which you have no knowledge of what it will be? Who is ever going to want to take over a team if such a toxic environment exists? I hear your gripes, and I agree with some of them, but it is my opinion that it is time to let the team move on and not continue funds that can only harm us. I plan to give the manager and players the time the team they need and see if they can develop into a strong team. I am going to enjoy watching our youth develop and see if they can reach their potential. I am going to get behind any player that wears the shirt, even when they frustrate me, and leave it to the manager to decide if their effort is enough. I am going to expect mistakes, I am going to be furious at certain times and elated at others, but ultimately I am going to sit back and enjoy the ride. People might disagree with me, but I have got over that we won the league, that our gamble to break into the big boys failed, that the authorities rigged the system to stop teams like ours being successful, and enjoy looking at how we do what we always did, and disrupt the system.
  25. I think part of the problem is that the modern footballer is very different to the footballers of years gone by. I watched something the other day and Gary Neville was saying something along the lines that in the 90's and the 00's the stats showed the best players (Cantona, Ronaldo etc) got the most touches on the ball. Now adays it's the centre backs. He said he doesn't want to watch the least talented footballers on the pitch with the ball the most. My experience of leicester fans is we like players that work hard and give everything, take people on and try to make something happen. I think we are probably struggling with modern football as much as this team.
