  1. Lewis would be particularly interesting, I think they would want too much for cantwell. Both would be great additions though.
  2. I think the selection is all about who is fit and rotation. Every game has the same importance at the Min for me, fighting on two fronts. I am hopeful longer term, the extra minutes will help our players get some sharpness, particularly in the final third. For me where we are lacking is creativity in that final part of the pitch. We are trying the right sort of things but a lack of match sharpness is hindering us. I am hopeful today will be the day where we start to click into one of those runs of form that has seen us so well in the last number of years.
  3. We seemed to pick up second half. Definitely has the feel of pre-season fixtures atm. I am sure we will start to look sharper as match fitness returns. Hopefully the other teams around us drop points and we can strike off another game. Odd times, but the FA cup game may well help us gain a bit of match sharpness and hopefully give us a bit of an advantage in the long run.
  4. We'll that brought a year to my eye. What a man and a legend. Together with us through thick and thin and a fundamental part of how we changed as a club. I hope the next time we are in the stadium together we can have a rendition of the Andy king song. Good luck for the future Andy, we'll miss you.
  5. Probably one of or most important signings (along with Rodgers) to date. An excellent player, highly rated and important in helping change the perception of LCFC i the transfer market. However it came about, most people around the world thought it would be very unlikely (myself included) such a young highly rated player would sign for LCFC. Very pleased he plays for LCFC.
  6. I really like chillwell, young, talented, good experience. He also seems like a really positive influence around the club. Really hope we keep hold of him.
  7. Quite, there must be better ways of managing it. But it seems like they want to try and water it down and push it through.
  8. This will probably include any home game whereby Liverpool win the league, or someone avoids relegation etc I would imagine.
  9. A lot of this debate is about perception surely. We need to focus on building the perception of a big and growing club. This will help us in terms of attracting players, mangers etc. We are currently on the up in terms of perception of our 'size' and this has the obvious problems of putting teams who perceive themselves as bigger than us at odds with us, it's part of our growth. At some point I have no doubt the perception of us will wain and the perception of clubs like Leeds etc will grow. Clubs who are in a period of being less successful (in comparison to their previous success) try to retain their perception of greatness based on their history, fanbase etc, and they would be foolish not to. This helps make them more attractive to future growth and success. Our job is to grow so the perception of us is that of a large club (something a long the lines that forest, Wednesday etc seem to enjoy). By doing so we increase the sustainability of our success into the future, and when we are in a period of being less successful, we can increase our chances of future success by engaging in, what seem to be inane 'banter', but is in fact self preserving rhetoric to preserve the position we perceive we have. That's my take anyway.
  10. Funnily enough the only real changes from march day 19 are Bournemouth are in the relegation zone and Watford are not (on goal difference) and man it's not spurs are in the top 6.
  11. According to this site we were second on march day 19. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/premier-league/spieltag/wettbewerb/GB1/plus/?saison_id=2019&spieltag=19 It's a no brainer for me. 😆
  12. I love how much the Chelsea fans and players wanted that result. Considering they had nothing to play for themselves its crazy!!
  13. I might be the only one, but I have always thought that they have under utilised him to fit other players in their team. Such an amazing player- I would be very surprised if this was true.
  14. That makes some sense. It's all a bit baffling and a little worrying.
  15. Cheers Bournemouth fox. It is very hard to know what to do/ how to act. All we can do I suppose is follow government advice and take extra precautions. Definitely unprecedented times.
  16. A question out if he genuine interest. Is it possible for the virus to mutate again? And if it mutated is it possible for it to affect children more dramatically? Are children carriers bit not affected by it or is there no trace in children? Also is a mutation more or less likely if large numbers of people have it? Sorry for all the questions!
  17. That's surely the case for any teams in contention for promotion/ European qualification?
  18. Even just a 4 week break now is going to change the nature of the league profoundly! Its going to be like a mini preseason and who returns the sharpest.
  19. It would be outrageous for sheff United, wolves or ourselves not to get a chance for champions League. Financially a similar position to the promoted/relegated teams. What happens with promotion/relegation will have to happen with the champions League etc for the same reasons surely? 🤔
  20. What happens to the transfer window if the league is extended into the summer? Very many contracts etc linked to the current windows? Could we have a situation where lots of players are out of contract with the season on going? 🤔
  21. Solid first half, think we will up our game second half. Pleased we have looked fairly strong defensively. Fancy a Harvey Barnes opener.
  22. I thought we played well and were unlucky. We seemed to have a lot of chances and get around there defence pretty effectively considering how deep they sat. Vardy had a number of chances first half where he was a little wide bit worked the keeper. Perez had a good chance first half to. Madison and vardy also had chances second half. A bit of a frustrating game, but that's what they were playing for, on another day I felt we would have won that game. Now we dust ourselves down and go again, quite capable of getting a result at their place (but so are they!).
  23. Norwich seem to have been rather unlucky recently, I fancy them to turn the corner. I think however they might be too far adrift to survive now.
  24. To be honest, the club are not going to base expansion of our stadium and on a 3rd round cup game Vs Wigan. The club will be looking at the demand for season tickets each year, over a number of years. Maybe build in a bit of sustainable growth and ambition within the numbers and will take it from there. Whether that means there is demand for us to expand the stadium, I don't know, however I have faith in the owners as they have shown themselves to be very astute.
  25. Surely this is easy to sort out, why don't linesmen/women have the same technology on their wrist that tells the referee the ball has crossed the line for a goal? e.g. right wrist ball has crossed the line for a throw in their half, left wrist ball has crossed the at their end for a goal kick (keep the cross the line for a goal to the ref only)?
