  1. The thought of Ndidi signing a new contract under Maresca didn’t whet my appetite, but with Cooper now in charge with the expectancy of a holding midfield two, then Wilf signing a new deal would save us a lot of hassle, and I’d see it as shrewd and sensible business. Get him alongside Winks and adopt him in a way that plays to his strengths, then hopefully we’d start to see Ndidi back to his ball winning best again. Having Ndidi and Choudhury as our ball winning midfield options, Winks as that deep-lying playmaker/dictator and maybe start to integrate Braybrooke. Then the midfield wouldn’t need as much change as many probably expected this summer, get in an alternative to Winks who has a bit more ability on the defensive end, then we’d be good to go with our midfield options for next season.
  2. That graphics correct, Metz have resigned him permanently, but they’ve been relegated from Ligue 1 and are looking to make profit on him for about £20 million. He’s also stated he wants to stay in France unfortunately.
  3. Unfortunately he’s stated he wants to stay in France. Would’ve cost around £20 million anyway
  4. Don’t worry mate, I’ll let you do your thing 👍🏻 I’ll use my time scouting players off Brazil Scout YouTube Vids Wyscout instead 😁
  5. This took some editing but after doing some digging, the majority of Norwich’s set piece goals from last season were a mixture of direct free kicks from either Sara or Nunez, and goals scored from corners that heavily focused on front post movement, this through a mixture of cut backs, front post runs or what you’d classify as front post flick ons. As well as Sara’s goal against us, they scored 7 more goals in similar fashion last season as seen through these gifs(Hopefully they don’t effect this thread 🤞🏻)
  6. I’m guessing the stats came from here https://theanalyst.com/eu/2023/08/championship-stats-2023-24-opta/ Norwich conceded the same amount of goals than us from set pieces last season. Even though Sara scored against us, he was very much their first choice set piece taker last season. We don’t really have a specialised set piece taker at the club, it’s something that we need to address with Hughes coming in. As for Norwich’s set piece patterns, seeing them a few times last season, it was evident they had intelligence to how they attacked set pieces. I’ll try and do some digging on their set piece goals 👍🏻
  7. To make tonight that just bit shitter, ITV give us the extended version of the Gillette advert.
  8. We’ve been the most boring team to watch in this Euros.
  9. This game needs Kalvin Phillips
  10. The amount of South American’s you suggest, you really need to spend your time on the Brighton and Hove Albion forum instead mate
  11. A new set piece taker needed 🤔 Also could Cooper actually give Souttar a chance 🤔
  12. Brunetta broke my heart would make for a good song title But I just had to list him, his numbers were unreal last season. As for Minda, the search engine has him down as AM, RAM, LAM from last season 👍🏻
  13. Seiwald is having an excellent tournament for Austria
  14. Looking at Nanasi and Gronbaek’s heat maps from Sofascore and Wyscout, they kind of show up their versatility, but the main focus is more wide left. Nanasi - Gronbaek - What I’ve noticed about Gronbaek though is significant changes in his creative and defensive output so far this season. Last season he produced - 0.78 Smart Passes per90, 0.95 Key Passes per90/5.58 defensive actions success per90, 5.90 defensive duels per90, 61% defensive duels won. However so far this season - 0.08 Smart Passes per90, 0.39 Key Passes per90/9.67 defensive actions success per90, 7.62 defensive duels per90, 70% defensive duels won. What a nerdy post, but there you go mate 🙂👍🏻
  15. He is versatile, played a mixture of wide and centrally last season too, but I just wouldn’t class him as an outright number 10. He’s a player I and others have been keen on for a while, his performances and creative numbers just continue to get better, as a versatile option you would definitely take him.
  16. No need for that mate, just bang on some Brazil Scout Premium YouTube vids 😉🙄 Didn’t include him as he’s played mainly off a wide left position so far this season. But these are his numbers so far... Goals - 5 xG - 2.92 Assists - 7 xA - 3.92 Smart Passes per90 - 1.17 Key Passes per90 - 0.90 👍🏻
  17. Relax. Here’s a nerdy PowerPoint of attacking midfielders compared with KDH last season, a few may not fit our price bracket but take your pick 👍🏻 Assists will differ depending where you look 👍🏻
  18. Drama! This Euros has been superb viewing so far.
  19. Can definitely picture myself sitting in my back garden in a LCFC Hawaiian shirt, while sipping Rum out of a LCFC £25 Rum glass.
  20. Shove your deep fried Mars bars up ya arse.
  21. LCB can be such a niche position, I think it has to be a priority position this summer, early evidence suggests it is with Theate and Hancko both linked. Rodon isn’t a must have signing, but he is one of those players you could easily see joining with Cooper’s connections. Better value could be found in that RCB position, that’s if two of Faes, Souttar, Coady do depart. Of course Gabriel Pereira has been linked, while as I’ve stated before, I think getting some young British talent through the door should be a priority. Maybe Ronnie Edwards at Peterborough or Charlie Hughes at Wigan could be possibilities 🤔
  22. A starting LCB is a must, Theate or Greaves would be my top two choices. Then potentially Rodon coming in as Cooper had him at Swansea, with two of Faes, Souttar or Coady departing. I’d be content with that 👍🏻
  23. His ball playing ability is decent
  24. In terms of ball playing ability and recovery pace, he’s been one of the better defenders in Ligue 1 over the past two seasons imo. But from a defensive perspective he does need to make improvements. Like we’ve seen from Soyuncu & Faes over the years, Theate does have that knack of stepping out too eagerly, which then leads to him getting caught out of position. Aerially as well he is very much a mixed bag, when defending crosses especially, some of his headers can lack real conviction. He has some excellent traits, he just needs to iron out a few flaws defensively.
  25. Wouldn’t mind nabbing Ben Sheaf away from Cov...
