Also you seem to be having the same issue with me on goalkeepers. I really don't know what is wrong with it this year - it's been bad for a while but it's gotten even worse. I just cannot get a consistent, steady goalkeeper no matter what I do. I know I play pretty front footed and usually outshoot my opposition, but I'd say the % of the time my goalkeeper outperforms the oppositions must be about 20.

Is this issue not potentially linked to staff responsibilities? I'd double check it and I feel like you already would've done, but that would annoy me as well - particularly giving them a role above what you're happy with. I've gotten really picky about this on the Bochum save where I wasn't before and I do think it helps.

Correct. It would've been frustrating to batter them and draw, but in the long run I would be more encouraged by the fact we'd outplayed a side and been unlucky. What was served up yesterday was not that by any measure. We were very lucky to even draw the game. It's incredible how bad a team we actually are. The majority of the times we've won in recent years we've been pretty fortunate. I can't remember too many games where we've been genuinely unlucky to not win it either - maybe Sheff Weds and Watford away late last season. More often than not though it's just stodgy rubbish, give away far better chances than we create ourselves but get occasionally bailed out by an individual bit of quality. A bit like yesterday actually. If MK Dons had served up those first two games from us as a newly promoted team I'd be tipping them to drop. We have got to substantially improve immediately.

I see pretty obvious solutions on here but the changes are never drastic. Always slow. Like they think you should be eased into this failing, miserable team when it needs completely gutting. People will be coping but if you'd been told in May that yesterday's XI would consist of a finished crap Southampton keeper, Okoli, Thomas, Skipp, Bob as the striker you would all be mortified. I'm not letting my own expectation dip. The summer so far is another failure.

I think it's just a really crappy trend in this country. We are bad for it and I don't go anymore so can't say for sure but I could count on one hand the number of away ends I thought were any good at our place post covid.

I have absolutely zero tolerance this season. Zero. That performance was an utter embarrassment and a disgrace. Yet another fanbase that have gone in thinking this is some cup final, potential massive scalp and left the game absolutely stunned by how utterly awful we are. They are getting very little patience from me this season. They haven't earned it. This manager is on very thin ice already for me. He's watched the likes of Bob and Thomas last week and seen fit to pick them again when he has alternative options. He's seen how Souttar has clocked out of the club and given him the ****ing armband. The line up was a disgrace. The performance was abject. Any more of this and he can go.

Overreacting to one game is allowed when it's us winning a friendly. Can't say anything when we look like complete rabble in the real thing though.
