The Neymar inclusion was ridiculous and I think the main reason they ended up going out yesterday. I think you bring Ancelotti in to avoid emotional decisions like this and he still caved in. Their midfield is a problem though. It's just 'OK' rather than top drawer.

I really don't think they were terrible. They could've definitely won that game yesterday. They had pretty bad moments in games but on the whole I don't really get some of the criticism that's been aimed at them. I'm guessing a lot of it was to do with the first half against Morocco and Japan. But by the end they were probably worth the draw and the wins they picked up respectively. Second half yesterday they were poor. In the humidity of Miami I'd sooner not have yet another essentially away game straight after the last. Norway are a good team but at least it's crap conditions for both teams.

I do think we'll beat Norway. Our defence is still prone to errors and Haaland is obviously substantially harder than anything we've faced, and he alone might swing it, but I'd sooner be facing them than Brazil in Miami, that would've felt like another away game.

We saw that out brilliantly. They really didn't create much at all at 2-3 that I can remember. I'm nowhere near as invested in England as plenty on here are and even I was shaking watching that. Think it's the proudest performance I can remember in genuinely horrid circumstances.

First 40 minutes England largely nailed it. I do think we can get more here though, they will have to leave gaps eventually.

Some absolutely jaw dropping corruption again in that game, but Norway still overcame it. Hopefully they don't give them the Senegal treatment.

Thought France's antics all game were a disgrace. Only picking up three yellow cards despite spending 90 minutes trying to ruin a perfectly good game of football from Paraguay. Football lost last night!

Hearing NTT20 do a podcast about transfers in the EFL so far has made it hit home how far we're lagging behind again. With as much to do as nearly anybody but absolutely nothing, as usual. This club is literally not capable of doing a lot of things at a time. I'd imagine it's linked to the owner having to sign off everything and being available about 5% of the time.

There's a general problem with the sport now incentivising you to sell academy players. It hits someone like us even harder because it becomes our way out of the mess. It'd be good to sell players as like a passive income, like in theory what Cartwright going to Bradford should be. But we've put ourselves in a position where that might actually be an error. Monga, again, I'll wish him well because he could've easily got out of here a year before he did and earned us no money for it. But he didn't and got us a decent fee - albeit one that could be multiple times bigger if we weren't in the shit.

Cape Verde won their qualifying group. They would've qualified for a 32 team most likely.

It'll obviously be Choudhury. He felt empowered enough on the night of the most disgraceful relegation basically ever to say he'd be involved next season, so I'd imagine he already had assurances.

We've fallen to a point where we think £10mil is a good deal as well. Purely self inflicted. There's a world we get 4/5 times that.

The problem is Mexico have looked pretty decent. It's pointless doing combined XIs and whatnot because in World Cups this is never really how it plays out. There is an advantage Mexico have in this game that England, or pretty much anyone in Europe very seldom faces. There is a reason that Europeans have only ever won one World Cup in the Americas. And vice versa. This was not the tournament to have a likely run of Mexico, Brazil and Argentina. I think we may come through Monday, but I think it'll be taxing, it'll take a lot out of us. Brazil is another tricky conditioned game even not taking the opposition into account on the pitch. If we make the semis of this tournament I think personally it beats anything else we've done in my lifetime.

Spain unfortunately still look decent. They have in hindsight had a pretty kind route so far though.

I was aware of these friendlies a good 6 weeks ago and still no ticket details. That attendance cap against Genoa as well. They aren't even hiding that they don't want you there.

Save themselves a bit of time and announce which games of ours won't be at half 12.

Deserved it over 90 in the end I think. Congo looked spent on the hour, you could tell when they were trying to break and just seemed to have nothing left. In a way I think probably Kane's best ever game for England. He's scored loads of goals but I don't think too many of them were that memorable or decisive and often it's Bellingham pulling us out of the mire. Monday will be ****ing tough though. They've really not looked bad at all. Regardless of the reasons for it, they all apply here, with conditions massively favouring them. They look a very tricky team to break down hardly giving a proper chance up in their games so far let alone a goal. I can see it going to extra time.
