Clubs, not just us, seem to be very reluctant to pay manager compensation. Not sure why as the manager position is so important. Rudders probably did very well with the £10m Enzo compensation clause which got us out of a sticky PSR swamp.

He's far too 'establishment' for us wanting to do everything the right way (as they see it) and is just ever so nice. We need someone a bit rough around the edges and isn't afraid to use the dark arts. Also a personality that makes a connection with the fans and pumps us up. Unlikely that Southgate would want the job anyway, fortunately.
